CHBC Prayer List

New Prayer Requests

  • Tara Sageser fell getting out of the tub on Tuesday, the 26th, and hit her head on the toilet. She was very shaky and unbalanced. She went to Mercy ER for a CT but was released. Later, she got worse and was taken by ambulance to OU Med’s ER. Many CT scans and an MRI were taken before she was released Wednesday evening with a concussion.  She is improving slowly.

  • Cathy Burris has been dizzy again. John wonders if her brain shunt needs to be adjusted. Please pray she doesn’t fall.

  • Several of our families have been suffering ongoing illnesses (strep, flu, Covid, etc). Pray for healing and continued health for everyone through this sick season.

  • Because of the many illnesses being passed around, our nursery area is often in need of last minute fill-in volunteers. If you would be willing to step in to assist when they are in need, please contact Hailee so she can add your name to their list of back-up helpers.

Ongoing Requests

  • Steve Mesenbrink, former member and father of Diana Barr, passed away after a battle with cancer. His service will be Wednesday, December 4 at 1:00pm at the Crossings Chapel. Please pray for his wife, Lisa, as well the rest of the family as they mourn his passing.

  • Pray for a recent guest of our church service, Tamara. Tamara has recently lost her job and her husband has kidney disease. Pray that God will provide for their family through this difficult trial.

  • Pray for the salvation of Scott Sanbar’s son, Tyler, and Tyler’s girlfriend, Kayla.

  • Pray for the Weigand’s friends who are workers in North Africa. They lost their home sending church and need to find a new one but travel and ministry difficulties make it hard to return to the states to build that support system back up. Pray for the Lord to provide answers and support according to His will.

  • Velta Zoeller’s 13-year-old grandson, Griffin, lacks one growth hormone. Another one is very low. Please pray for proper treatment as he enters puberty. 

  • Tia Philbin is taking legal action in a very traumatic situation that she experienced in the past. She is asking for strength and peace during the process as well as justice to be served.

  • Paul Christy is serving in the Air Force in Italy. Pray for community and strength for him as he’s away for the next few years. 

  • Pray for those in our church family who are looking for new jobs.

  • Keaire Wilkins (Sheireka's son) needs prayer.

  • Nell Head sat with Sharon Daniels last week so that John could leave for a while. Sharon slept the whole time. John is very tired and stays by her side constantly. Please pray for the Daniels and encourage John.

  • Please pray for Lynda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • Pray for Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 20), that God would intervene and draw him back into a relationship with the Lord and with his family.

  • Pray for the people of Israel and the Middle East. Pray that Christ would be made known, pray for peace in and around Israel, pray for the protection of innocents in the entire area. Continue to pray for those working to spread the Good News in the midst of this crisis.

Hospitalizations and Illnesses

  • Pray for Tanya Fobasso’s parents health and well that God would provide exactly what her family needs.

  • Charline DeWitt’s friend had a heart attack and is in the hospital in Arizona. Please pray for her full recovery. Charline and Dennis are also thankful for all the prayers, cards, and encouragement in his ongoing recovery.

  • Sharon Daniels fell and required two stitches in her head.  Please pray for wisdom for John about her continued care.

  • Debbie Weir’s esophagus is causing her difficulty in eating. Pray she receives correct treatment. 

  • Mary Kitchell’s sister in Texas, Jane Rogers, has many health problems and is under palliative care at this time. Please pray for her family. 

  • Pat Boyer’s right hand is waking her at night and the pain continues to increase. It may be carpal tunnel or neuropathy. Please pray she will get an accurate diagnosis and treatment. She has an appointment with a specialist on December 16.

  • Nell Head may also have a torn meniscus as well as back pain. Pray for relief. 

  • Desire Fobasso went to the hospital due to seizures, but while in the ER he coded, and they had to revive him. He has not regained consciousness. He is breathing and stable in ICU at Baptist hospital. Pray for Desire and his wive, Chanceline.

  • Sherrill Sageserhas been approved for surgery to insert a neurostimulator on December 12.

  • Pam & Curtis Yerby have a neighbor who has been dealing with hepatitis C for 19 years. Recently, his numbers have been going up and he also fell recently and fractured his shoulder. He’s in his 80s and his name is Glen Morgan. Pray for Glenn and for the Yerbys as they minister to him.

  • Shelby Byrd is having hip issues. Pray for healing and provision for him. 

  • Debbie Weir is still having heart issues after her previous procedure. 

  • Madi Grogan has been in ongoing pain for a while. Pray for guidance for the doctors as they look for the causes of Madi’s pain and a solution that will bring healing to her body. Pray for peace for her mind, as well as endurance and comfort for her family.

  • Evan and Levi Prince’s friend, Jeremy P., has stomach cancer. Be in prayer for him as he and his doctors decide on treatments.

  • Sam Wittner is suffering with arthritis. Charlotte is aware that she is having some issues with dementia.

  • Robert Manning’s daughter, Shelly Leaf, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Pray for Shelly and her doctors.

  • Katie MacDougall is undergoing treatment for her lung disease. Please continue praying this treatment would reduce inflammation, slow disease progression, and reduce the need for more unpleasant treatment options as well as wisdom for her pulmonary teams at Mayo and OU. 

  • Carol and Johnny Just’s granddaughter Marek Merideth. Earlier this month her MRI indicated that the brain tumor remains stable.   She has completed the oral chemo protocol so was taken off the medicine.  It had significant side effects so I'm sure her quality of life will be improved but we still need prayer the tumor does not grow!

  • Johnny and Carol Just’s son-in-law, Mitch Merideth, had a heart transplant in 2016. He continues to struggle with health problems and other problems related to liver failure. Also, it was discovered he has a heart valve that was damaged from the multiple biopsies done to monitor transplant rejection, which may need surgical intervention in the future. The accumulation of stress has taken a toll on their marriage. Pray for mercy and peace.

  • Members with continuing health concerns: Karen Davis, Jim Davis, Kevin Fox, David Spiva, Cameron Frank, Cathy Burris, Michelle Hawkins’ brother, Mark Manning, Frazier’s nephew and his wife; Greg and Sarah Frazier, Glenda Phillips, Sherrill Sageser, Sam Wittner, Charlotte Wittner, Sharon Daniels, Belinda Yesslith.

Missions and Ministry Requests

  • Pray for our country and elected leaders.

  • Hannah and Ben Hanes are missionaries serving in the Bronx in NYC.

  • Logan & Morgan Hanni & their sons, Liam & Grayson, are serving a 3-year term as IMB missionaries to Southeast Asia. Please pray for their travel, language learning and cultural adjustment. Pray for unreached people groups in Southeast Asia to come to a saving faith in Jesus.

  • De’Vonte’ Pittman is serving on the mission field in North Africa. He will be there at least a year. Pray for him and for the people groups with whom he will be sharing the gospel.

  • Pray the congregation at Northeast Fellowship, that they would grow in their love for God and each other. Pray for their community, specifically for the new people moving to their community that the Lord would use their church to reach them with the gospel and equip them to meet their physical needs. Let everything they do/plan be devotional, and draw them closer to the Lord.

Praises

  • Praise God for all He is doing in our church and community.

  • Kirk and Katy Redeker welcomed their fourth child, Elizabeth “Elle” to their family recently.. Mom and baby are doing well. Pray that their older three children, all under 4, will do well with this change to their family.

CHBC Lexington Chapel Service Prayer requests

  • Rusty—upcoming release in 63 days, after 12 years incarcerated.  Pray for a smooth transition back to his family in Granite.

  • Lou—prayer for his family, and that his wife would be able to maintain custody of their children, and for the safety and well-being of their children

  • Bussey—prayers for his brother’s salvation

  • Louis—prayers for his brother, Robert’s salvation

  • Charlie—likely released soon, and prayers for proper preparation and Godly direction for all things

  • Scottie—his son passed away earlier this year, and he is seeking to rededicate his life and direction to serving God, and he wants God to make this information known to his mother.

  • Roderick—prayer for healing and relief from his wrist pain

  • Teddy—requests prayer for healing and relief from the pain he struggles with in his hips and ankles

  • Gary—requests prayer for healing and relief from the disc problems in his back

  • Paul—prayers for his wife and restoration of their relationship.

  • John—his 80 yr old mother is in need of a hip replacement

  • Clay—continued pray for his sister in need of kidney healing/replacement

  • John—his sister-in-law struggles with muscular dystrophy and it is getting much worse now that she is in her 50’s

  • Jeffery Yesslith (Adult 4) will have shoulder surgery in November.

  • Aiden—an 18 yr old young man with a strong understanding of The Word, and of exactly who His Lord and Savior is in Jesus Christ.  Pray for him to simply submit to the Lord in ALL THINGS, and move forward from this point in his life, with deliverance, a new outlook, and direction.

  • Larry—prayer for his walk with the Lord.  Probation revoked the day after he accepted Christ and was baptized.  Seeking to understand his walk forward with Christ.

  • Rodney—requests prayer for his brother Mike, who is in Mexico and mixed up with the wrong crowd.  Pray for salvation from destruction, in all ways.

New Prayer Requests

  • Charline DeWitt’s friend had a heart attack and is in the hospital in Arizona. Please pray for her full recovery. Charline and Dennis are also thankful for all the prayers, cards, and encouragement in his ongoing recovery.

  • The Weatherfords, a gospel group who are friends of the Boyers, were on a concert tour when their tour bus broke down. They have borrowed an RV but will have to tow the bus back home. Pray they make good decisions about future travels. 

  • Sharon Daniels fell and required two stitches in her head.  Please pray for wisdom for John about her continued care.

  • Debbie Weir’s esophagus is causing her difficulty in eating. Pray she receives correct treatment. 

  • Several of our families have been suffering ongoing illnesses (strep, flu, Covid, etc). Pray for healing and continued health for everyone through this sick season.

  • Because of the many illnesses being passed around, our nursery area is often in need of last minute fill-in volunteers. If you would be willing to step in to assist when they are in need, please contact Hailee so she can add your name to their list of back-up helpers.

Ongoing Requests

  • Pray for the Weigand’s friends who are workers in North Africa. They lost their home sending church and need to find a new one but travel and ministry difficulties make it hard to return to the states to build that support system back up. Pray for the Lord to provide answers and support according to His will.

  • Velta Zoeller’s 13-year-old grandson, Griffin, lacks one growth hormone. Another one is very low. Please pray for proper treatment as he enters puberty. 

  • Tia Philbin is taking legal action in a very traumatic situation that she experienced in the past. She is asking for strength and peace during the process as well as justice to be served.

  • Paul Christy is serving in the Air Force in Italy. Pray for community and strength for him as he’s away for the next few years. 

  • David and Lynda Ramsey have gotten most things moved into their new home. Praise God for his provision.

  • Pray for those in our church family who are looking for new jobs.

  • Keaire Wilkins (Sheireka's son) needs prayer.

  • Nell Head sat with Sharon Daniels last week so that John could leave for a while. Sharon slept the whole time. John is very tired and stays by her side constantly. Please pray for the Daniels and encourage John.

  • Please pray for Lynda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • Pray for Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 20), that God would intervene and draw him back into a relationship with the Lord and with his family.

  • Pray for the people of Israel and the Middle East. Pray that Christ would be made known, pray for peace in and around Israel, pray for the protection of innocents in the entire area. Continue to pray for those working to spread the Good News in the midst of this crisis.

Hospitalizations and Illnesses

  • Mary Kitchell’s sister in Texas, Jane Rogers, has many health problems and is under palliative care at this time. Mary’s aunt also passed away while they were in Texas so they stayed for the funeral. Please pray for her family. 

  • Velta Zoeller got an injection in her knee, and it is much better now. She does have a meniscus tear and arthritis, and the knee is bone on bone. 

  • Pat Boyer’s right hand is waking her at night and the pain continues to increase. It may be carpal tunnel or neuropathy. Please pray she will get an accurate diagnosis and treatment. She has an appointment with a specialist on December 16.

  • Nell Head may also have a torn meniscus as well as back pain. Pray for relief. 

  • Desire Fobasso went to the hospital due to seizures, but while in the ER he coded, and they had to revive him. He has not regained consciousness. He is breathing and stable in ICU at Baptist hospital. Pray for Desire and his wive, Chanceline.

  • Kathy Quinlin had knee replacement surgery on October 5. Please pray for her recovery.

  • Jeffery Yesslith (Adult 4) will have shoulder surgery in November.

  • Sherrill Sageser thinks the neurostimulator trial helped his back pain. The doctor’s office will schedule the surgery after getting insurance approval.

  • Pam & Curtis Yerby have a neighbor who has been dealing with hepatitis C for 19 years. Recently, his numbers have been going up and he also fell recently and fractured his shoulder. He’s in his 80s and his name is Glen Morgan. Pray for Glenn and for the Yerbys as they minister to him.

  • Shelby Byrd is having hip issues. Pray for healing and provision for him. 

  • Kendall McWilliams had her gallbladder removed today. Pray for her recovery and health.

  • Debbie Weir is still having heart issues after her previous procedure. 

  • Madi Grogan has been in ongoing pain for a while. Pray for guidance for the doctors as they look for the causes of Madi’s pain and a solution that will bring healing to her body. Pray for peace for her mind, as well as endurance and comfort for her family.

  • Former member, Dwayne Smith, is now home after heart bypass surgery. He is recovering and using a walker. Pray for continued improvement. 

  • Evan and Levi Prince’s friend, Jeremy P., has stomach cancer. Be in prayer for him as he and his doctors decide on treatments.

  • Sam Wittner is suffering with arthritis. Charlotte is aware that she is having some issues with dementia.

  • Robert Manning’s daughter, Shelly Leaf, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Pray for Shelly and her doctors.

  • One of our GED students has an adult daughter, Felicity, who has a heart valve defect and has been having trouble with blood clots which are threatening to cause the loss of toes. Pray for healing for Felicity and that her doctors would have guidance in her care.

  • Diana Barr’s dad has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Be in prayer for their family as they seek the best treatments.

  • Katie MacDougall is undergoing treatment for her lung disease. Please continue praying this treatment would reduce inflammation, slow disease progression, and reduce the need for more unpleasant treatment options as well as wisdom for her pulmonary teams at Mayo and OU. 

  • Carol and Johnny Just’s granddaughter Marek Merideth. Earlier this month her MRI indicated that the brain tumor remains stable.   She has completed the oral chemo protocol so was taken off the medicine.  It had significant side effects so I'm sure her quality of life will be improved but we still need prayer the tumor does not grow!

  • Johnny and Carol Just’s son-in-law, Mitch Merideth, had a heart transplant in 2016. He continues to struggle with health problems and other problems related to liver failure. Also, it was discovered he has a heart valve that was damaged from the multiple biopsies done to monitor transplant rejection, which may need surgical intervention in the future. The accumulation of stress has taken a toll on their marriage. Pray for mercy and peace.

  • Joseph—a young man who knows all about God and His Word, but is very angry with God right now and is not seeking to follow Jesus any more.  He needs a heart change, and a submissive attitude.

  • Hunter—prayer for God to use him through the Evangelism Explosion training that he is going through right now.

  • John—prayer for brothers who are “going through a dry land” right now in their walk with God.  He also asks for peace on the Joseph Harp yard.

  • Charlie Bird—asks for paryer for family, and the band members that support our service every 1st Monday at Joseph Harp.

  • Chris Young—asks for prayer for Frank and CJ, and for his own personal needs, and for restoration with his family.

  • Mary Kitchell’s sister in Texas, Jane Rogers, has many health problems and is under palliative care at this time. Mary’s aunt also passed away while they were in Texas so they stayed for the funeral. Please pray for her family.

  • Rusty: requested general prayer for an unnamed man in Unit 1, quad 3, cell G

  • John: Diagnosed with a heart problem resulting in aneurysm, and also has a valve problem.  Prayer for the upcoming surgery.

  • John’s mother: She is over 80 and recently in the hospital for undisclosed issues. He is worried about her, and prayers for people to be there to take care of her in her time of need.

  • Collin’s mother: She was admitted to the hospital due to breathing issues.

  • Clay’s sister: She has been diagnosed with a “rare” kidney issue, and is going to be traveling to Atlanta for specialized treatment.

  • John’s brother & Gary’s sister: Pray that they would be receptive to the gospel message, and that The Holy Spirit would do a might work in their lives, for salvation.

  • Jose: He has a young son on the outside sending him Christian materials, and asking about going to church when he comes back home. Jose, by his own admission, is “waiting” to pray to Jesus. Please pray for God to speak life and clarity into Jose’s life, for Jose to recognize the truth that The Holy Spirit is pouring into him, that he will surrender to Jesus, and submit to serving, for the sake of himself, and as an example to his son and family!

  • Velta Zoeller may have a torn meniscus in her left knee. She is seeing a doctor today. Please pray it will require only minimal treatment. 

  • Pat Boyer’s right hand is waking her at night. It may be carpal tunnel or neuropathy. Please pray she will get an accurate diagnosis and treatment. 

  • Nell Head may also have a torn meniscus as well as back pain. Pray for relief. 

  • Scott Sanbar is asking for prayer for his friend Will, the son of his high school friends Matt and Dana. Will has struggled with mental health, has been in and out of jail, and has recently been cut off by his parents. Pray for wisdom, guidance, and help with shepherding Will back to where he needs to be.

  • Pray for those who were impacted by Hurricane Helene and by Hurricane Milton. Pray for the first responders, volunteers and aid organizations who are trying to assist those who are suffering.

  • Robert Manning’s daughter, Shelly Leaf, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Pray for Shelly and her doctors.

  • One of our GED students has an adult daughter, Felicity, who has a heart valve defect and has been having trouble with blood clots which are threatening to cause the loss of toes. Pray for healing for Felicity and that her doctors would have guidance in her care.

  • Diana Barr’s dad has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Be in prayer for their family as they seek the best treatments.

  • Katie MacDougall is undergoing treatment for her lung disease. Please continue praying this treatment would reduce inflammation, slow disease progression, and reduce the need for more unpleasant treatment options as well as wisdom for her pulmonary teams at Mayo and OU. 

  • Carol and Johnny Just’s granddaughter Marek Merideth. Earlier this month her MRI indicated that the brain tumor remains stable.   She has completed the oral chemo protocol so was taken off the medicine.  It had significant side effects so I'm sure her quality of life will be improved but we still need prayer the tumor does not grow!

  • Johnny and Carol Just’s son-in-law, Mitch Merideth, had a heart transplant in 2016. He continues to struggle with health problems and other problems related to liver failure. Also, it was discovered he has a heart valve that was damaged from the multiple biopsies done to monitor transplant rejection, which may need surgical intervention in the future. The accumulation of stress has taken a toll on their marriage. Pray for mercy and peace.

  • Michael Wright: Prayed on 10/28 to receive the love and forgiveness of Jesus, and seeks to walk forward in a new direction. He specifically is seeking to grow in his love for Jesus in his heart!

  • Rusty: requested general prayer for an unnamed man in Unit 1, quad 3, cell G

  • John: Diagnosed with a heart problem resulting in aneurysm, and also has a valve problem.  Prayer for the upcoming surgery.

  • John’s mother: She is over 80 and recently in the hospital for undisclosed issues. He is worried about her, and prayers for people to be there to take care of her in her time of need.

  • Collin’s mother: She was admitted to the hospital due to breathing issues.

  • Clay’s sister: She has been diagnosed with a “rare” kidney issue, and is going to be traveling to Atlanta for specialized treatment.

  • John’s brother & Gary’s sister: Pray that they would be receptive to the gospel message, and that The Holy Spirit would do a might work in their lives, for salvation.

  • Jose: He has a young son on the outside sending him Christian materials, and asking about going to church when he comes back home. Jose, by his own admission, is “waiting” to pray to Jesus. Please pray for God to speak life and clarity into Jose’s life, for Jose to recognize the truth that The Holy Spirit is pouring into him, that he will surrender to Jesus, and submit to serving, for the sake of himself, and as an example to his son and family!

New Prayer Requests

  • Pray for the Weigand’s friends who are workers in North Africa. They lost their home sending church and need to find a new one but travel and ministry difficulties make it hard to return to the states to build that support system back up. Pray for the Lord to provide answers and support according to His will.

  • Velta Zoeller’s 13-year-old grandson, Griffin, lacks one growth hormone. Another one is very low. Please pray for proper treatment as he enters puberty. 

  • Pray for those who were impacted by Hurricane Helene and by Hurricane Milton. Pray for the first responders, volunteers and aid organizations who are trying to assist those who are suffering.

Ongoing Requests

  • Tia Philbin is taking legal action in a very traumatic situation that she experienced in the past. She is asking for strength and peace during the process as well as justice to be served.

  • Paul Christy is serving in the Air Force in Italy. Pray for community and strength for him as he’s away for the next few years. 

  • David and Lynda Ramsey closed on another house in far NW OKC on Thursday and are in the process of packing and moving. Please pray this house will be a blessing to them.

  • Pray for those in our church family who are looking for new jobs.

  • Keaire Wilkins (Sheireka's son) needs prayer.

  • Nell Head sat with Sharon Daniels last week so that John could leave for a while. Sharon slept the whole time. John is very tired and stays by her side constantly. Please pray for the Daniels and encourage John.

  • Please pray for Lynda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • Pray for Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 20), that God would intervene and draw him back into a relationship with the Lord and with his family.

  • Pray for the people of Israel and the Middle East. Pray that Christ would be made known, pray for peace in and around Israel, pray for the protection of innocents in the entire area. Continue to pray for those working to spread the Good News in the midst of this crisis.

Hospitalizations and Illnesses

  • Desire Fobasso went to the hospital due to seizures, but while in the ER he coded, and they had to revive him. He has not regained consciousness. He is breathing and stable in ICU at Baptist hospital. Pray for Desire and his wive, Chanceline.

  • Several of our young families have been suffering ongoing illnesses (strep, flu, Covid, etc). Pray for healing and continued health for both parents and children. Because of the sickness being passed around, our nursery area is often in need of fill-in volunteers. If you would be willing to step in to assist when they are in need, please contact Hailee or Bethany so they can add your name to their list of back-up helpers.

  • Kathy Quinlin had knee replacement surgery on October 5. Please pray for her recovery.

  • Jeffery Yesslith (Adult 4) will have shoulder surgery in November.

  • Sherrill Sageser has decided to have a trial neurostimulator procedure done on November 1. It will last one week and help to determine if he wants it implanted or not. 

  • Pam & Curtis Yerby have a neighbor who has been dealing with hepatitis C for 19 years. Recently, his numbers have been going up and he also fell recently and fractured his shoulder. He’s in his 80s and his name is Glen Morgan. Pray for Glenn and for the Yerbys as they minister to him.

  • Karen Davis is back on antibiotics again for her infection. Please pray for healing.

  • Don Cude had an arteriogram on Tuesday. Doctors found a few additional small blockages, which they will keep an eye on for now.

  • Jeffery Yesslith (Adult 4) will have shoulder surgery in November.

  • Sherrill Sageser had a few Botox injections in his neck last Friday. The VA neurologist things he may have cervical dystonia. Also, his CPAP machine shows central sleep apneas (the brain forgets to tell the lungs to breathe), probably caused by his pain pump medication. He may need to have another sleep study. Please pray for wisdom about whether or not to get a spinal cord stimulator, which would eliminate the drugs and probably the sleep apneas. His latest MRI showed his back to be about the same.

New Prayer Requests

  • Pray for Allen and Melissa Crick, daughter and son-in-law of the Pickelsimers. The Cricks live in Nokomis Beach, Florida. They will take a near-direct hit from Hurricane Milton. Allen and Melissa packed up most of their house in a moving truck and moved it with their vehicles inland. Pray for their safety, as well as the safety of all those in the path of this storm.

  • Hallie, granddaughter of Dan and Jenese Glover, was taken to the hospital on Monday due to seizures. Pray for her and her parents.

  • Pam & Curtis Yerby have a neighbor who has been dealing with hepatitis C for 19 years. Recently, his numbers have been going up and he also fell recently and fractured his shoulder. He’s in his 80s and his name is Glen Morgan. Pray for Glenn and for the Yerbys as they minister to him.

  • Nell Head is having a difficult time because things in her home are breaking. She is also having pain. Please pray for Nell.  

  • Karen Davis is back on antibiotics again for her infection. Please pray for healing. 

  • Shelby Byrd is having hip issues. Pray for healing and provision for him. 

  • Kendall McWilliams had her gallbladder removed today. Pray for her recovery and health.

  • Debbie Weir is still having heart issues after her previous procedure.

  • One of our GED students has an adult daughter, Felicity, who has a heart valve defect and has been having trouble with blood clots which are threatening to cause the loss of toes. Pray for healing for Felicity and that her doctors would have guidance in her care.

  • Diana Barr’s dad has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Be in prayer for their family as they seek the best treatments.

  • Katie MacDougall is undergoing treatment for her lung disease. Please continue praying this treatment would reduce inflammation, slow disease progression, and reduce the need for more unpleasant treatment options as well as wisdom for her pulmonary teams at Mayo and OU. 

  • Carol and Johnny Just’s granddaughter Marek Merideth. Earlier this month her MRI indicated that the brain tumor remains stable.   She has completed the oral chemo protocol so was taken off the medicine.  It had significant side effects so I'm sure her quality of life will be improved but we still need prayer the tumor does not grow!

  • Johnny and Carol Just’s son-in-law, Mitch Merideth, had a heart transplant in 2016. He continues to struggle with health problems and other problems related to liver failure. Also, it was discovered he has a heart valve that was damaged from the multiple biopsies done to monitor transplant rejection, which may need surgical intervention in the future. The accumulation of stress has taken a toll on their marriage. Pray for mercy and peace.

  • Tia Philbin is taking legal action in a very traumatic situation that she experienced in the past. She is asking for strength and peace during the process as well as justice to be served.

The doctor won’t increase his medication anymore and recommends that Sherrill would consider having a spinal cord stimulator implanted. We are very hesitant to do an additional procedure that has 66% chance of helping. Please pray for wisdom.

  • Tony—​he has placed his faith in Jesus' saving work on the cross.  While he has been in prison, his 1 ½ yr old twin sons passed away in a car accident.  Pray for the loving arms of Jesus to provide him comfort like only Jesus can.

  • Jon—a 60 yr old who finds his faith in Jesus challenged in the face of his own failures, looking for peace in understanding why he is where he is.  Pray for God to encourage him, and help him to have a measure of peace, and strengthened faith, for the work that God is doing.

  • Ron—a 68 yr old, saved in the last year, along with his wife.  He is asking for strength to endure the challenge of a work camp to get back out and continue in his new walk for Jesus, alongside his wife. ​

  • Diana Barr’s dad has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Be in prayer for their family as they seek the best treatments.

  • Katie MacDougall is undergoing treatment for her lung disease. Please continue praying this treatment would reduce inflammation, slow disease progression, and reduce the need for more unpleasant treatment options as well as wisdom for her pulmonary teams at Mayo and OU. 

  • Carol and Johnny Just’s granddaughter Marek Merideth. Earlier this month her MRI indicated that the brain tumor remains stable.   She has completed the oral chemo protocol so was taken off the medicine.  It had significant side effects so I'm sure her quality of life will be improved but we still need prayer the tumor does not grow!

  • Johnny and Carol Just’s son-in-law, Mitch Merideth, had a heart transplant in 2016. He continues to struggle with health problems and other problems related to liver failure. Also, it was discovered he has a heart valve that was damaged from the multiple biopsies done to monitor transplant rejection, which may need surgical intervention in the future. The accumulation of stress has taken a toll on their marriage. Pray for mercy and peace.

  • Pray the congregation at Northeast Fellowship, that they would grow in their love for God and each other. Pray for their community, specifically for the new people moving to their community that the Lord would use their church to reach them with the gospel and equip them to meet their physical needs. New Prayer Requests

  • There are no new requests this week.

Ongoing Requests

  • Pray for Andy Puryear, father of Cara Mahler. Andy had a stroke 6 years ago, which resulted in him being confined to a wheelchair. He is unable to eat or drink, so he receives nutrition through a PEG tube. He is non-verbal and communicates via gestures. Cara and her siblings have made the difficult decision to transfer him from receiving care in the home of her sister to a long-term care facility. Pray for him to receive this news well and for the family as they help him adjust to a new normal.

  • Tia Philbin is taking legal action in a very traumatic situation that she experienced in the past. She is asking for strength and peace during the process as well as justice to be served.

  • Paul Christy is serving in the Air Force in Italy. Pray for community and strength for him as he’s away for the next few years. 

  • David and Lynda Ramsey will continue to look at other houses. The seller isn’t willing to make the repairs on the one they wanted. Please pray for direction.

  • Pray for those in our church family who are looking for new jobs.

  • Velta Zoeller’s nephew, Scott, is living with her brother, James. Scott went through a divorce and a back surgery. He is very depressed and suicidal. They are not getting along. Pray for Scott’s emotions and for a better relationship with his dad. 

  • Keaire Wilkins (Sheireka's son) needs prayer.

  • John Daniels needs calls of encouragement because he doesn’t know what steps to take next with Sharon. She does well during the day but gets confused in the evenings.

  • Please pray for Lynda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • Pray for Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 20), that God would intervene and draw him back into a relationship with the Lord and with his family.

  • Pray for the people of Israel and the Middle East. Pray that Christ would be made known, pray for peace in and around Israel, pray for the protection of innocents in the entire area. Continue to pray for those working to spread the Good News in the midst of this crisis.

  • Pam & Curtis Yerby have a neighbor who has been dealing with hepatitis C for 19 years. Recently, his numbers have been going up and he also fell recently and fractured his shoulder. He’s in his 80s and his name is Glen Morgan. Pray for Glenn and for the Yerbys as they minister to him.

  • Pat Boyer’s kidney procedure took longer than expected, but it was successful at eradicating the tumor. PTL!

  • Nell Head is having a difficult time because things in her home are breaking, plus someone took her riding lawnmower. She is also having pain. Please pray for Nell.  

  • Karen Davis is back on antibiotics again for her infection. Please pray for healing. 

  • Shelby Byrd is having hip issues. Pray for healing and provision for him. 

  • Kendall McWilliams is having some health issues. Pray for wisdom and healing for her. 

  • Debbie Weir is still having heart issues after her previous procedure. 

  • Madi Grogan has been in ongoing pain for a while. Pray for guidance for the doctors as they look for the causes of Madi’s pain and a solution that will bring healing to her body. Pray for peace for her mind, as well as endurance and comfort for her family.

  • Bob Boyer has carpal tunnel syndrome in his right wrist. He’s been given medication, a brace, and exercises to do. Please pray for healing. 

  • Former member, Dwayne Smith, is recovering from heart bypass at rehab, but having difficulty with his leg. Please pray for healing for Dwayne and comfort for Deanna.

  • Helen Wilkerson moved successfully to a first-floor room at Tealridge in Edmond. Continue praying for her adjustment. 

  • Sherrill Sageser has an MRI of his back scheduled for this Wednesday. Please pray it reveals any additional problems that can be treated to relieve his pain.

  • Jerry requests prayer for his wife and children, and particularly his little brother "Jules" who is only 14 yrs old and has never been separated from his older brother before.

  • Jonathan gave his life to Jesus on August 19, 2024, so pray for his protection and guidance from The Holy Spirit.  He also asked for prayer for his children's well-being, and for kindness to be shown to them in his absence.  Asked for prayer that his children would also come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.

  • Andrew asks for prayer for all families dealing with separation from their loved ones, for whatever reasons, like military or prison, or other hardships.​

  • Eric requests prayer for his younger sister in California named Hannah, dealing with opioid addiction, and facing prison in Oklahoma.​  She does not know Jesus as Lord and he asked for prayer that people would come to her speaking the Gospel Message and that her heart would be softened and opened to hear the TRUTH, and that she too could be set free!

New Prayer Requests

  • Tia Philbin is taking legal action in a very traumatic situation that she experienced in the past. She is asking for strength and peace during the process as well as justice to be served.

They are still in need of 2-3 volunteers to love on babies In the Mint Room (bed babies) during the small group hour and 1-2 volunteers to teach in the Green Room (age 2) during the small group hour. They are flexible and will be grateful for ANY amount of time to invest in the littlest members of CHBC.   • Daniel Swinehart and his children Landin (13) and Hudson (10) lost their lives in the crash at Sundance Airport last week. The Swinehart’s belong to Quail Springs Baptist Church. Please keep Daniel’s wife (and the children’s mother), Victoria, and their extended family in your prayers during this very difficult time.

  • Velta Zoeller’s brother, James, is doing well with his new pacemaker and is very thankful he got it. Her younger brother, Gene, now has wound care home health coming to treat his legs. The lesions are improving.

  • Debbie Weir is still having heart issues after her previous procedure. 

  • Don Cude had surgery for cancer in his nose. He will have the stitches removed on Tuesday. 

  • Madi Grogan has been in the hospital this past week dealing with ongoing severe abdominal pain, along with several other medical issues. She has several outpatient appointments with doctors from Mayo in the coming days. Pray for guidance for the doctors as they look for the causes of Madi’s pain and a solution that will bring healing to her body. Pray for peace for her mind, as well as endurance and comfort for her family.

  • Anna Harkins is nearing the end of her medicine changes. So far, by the grace of God, she's not had anymore seizures. Please join her parents, Greg and Beth, in prayer that these medications continue to help her live seizure free again.

  • Bob Boyer has carpal tunnel syndrome in his right wrist. He’s been given medication, a brace, and exercises to do. Please pray for healing. 

  • Former member, Dwayne Smith, is recovering from heart bypass at rehab, but having difficulty with his leg. Please pray for healing for Dwayne and comfort for Deanna.

  • Pat Boyer will have a probing procedure on her kidney Wednesday morning to try to freeze the cancerous tumor in her right kidney. Please pray that it is successful so that she doesn’t have to have her kidney removed. 

  • John Burris’ grandson, John Burris II, had his colon removed. He is doing well after his treatment.

  • Helen Wilkerson moved successfully to a first-floor room at Tealridge in Edmond. Continue praying for her adjustment. 

  • Sherrill Sageser’s pain pump was turned up from .5 to .7 (42%), but it hasn’t helped yet. He is now scheduled with a VA neurologist on August 28 as a second opinion for his Lewy body dementia. 

  • Robin Smith had an ultrasound May 30th for an abnormality in her breast. Please pray for wisdom, peace and healing.

  • Jayne Manley’s son-in-law, Dan Franklin, just retired and learned he has cancer in his spine. 

  • Bob Boyer’s great-niece, Hailey (21), has improved and is back to work.

  • Evan and Levi Prince’s friend, Jeremy P., has stomach cancer. Be in prayer for him as he and his doctors decide on treatments.

  • Sam Wittner is suffering with arthritis. Charlotte is aware that she is having some issues with dementia.

  • One of our GED students has an adult daughter, Felicity, who has a heart valve defect and has been having trouble with blood clots which are threatening to cause the loss of toes. Pray for healing for Felicity and that her doctors would have guidance in her care.

  • Diana Barr’s dad has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Be in prayer for their family as they seek the best treatments.

  • Dennis & Charline DeWitt have not been in Church since October 2023. Dennis had a number of procedures and health problems Please pray for his healing.

  • Carol and Johnny Just’s granddaughter Marek Merideth. Earlier this month her MRI indicated that the brain tumor remains stable.   She has completed the oral chemo protocol so was taken off the medicine.  It had significant side effects so I'm sure her quality of life will be improved but we still need prayer the tumor does not grow!

  • Johnny and Carol Just’s son-in-law, Mitch Merideth, had a heart transplant in 2016. He continues to struggle with health problems and other problems related to liver failure. Also, it was discovered he has a heart valve that was damaged from the multiple biopsies done to monitor transplant rejection, which may need surgical intervention in the future. The accumulation of stress has taken a toll on their marriage. Pray for mercy and peace.

New Prayer Requests

  • David and Lynda Ramsey are approved for a home loan. They are considering a house in the Village. Please pray for wisdom and God’s will in this process. 

  • Daniel Swinehart and his children Landin (13) and Hudson (10) lost their lives in the crash at Sundance Airport last week. The Swinehart’s belong to Quail Springs Baptist Church. Please keep Daniel’s wife (and the children’s mother), Victoria, and their extended family in your prayers during this very difficult time. Anyone wishing to express condolences or inquire about how to support the Swinehart family during this time, please contact Ray Griffin, Executive Pastor at QSBC, at 405-302-3025.

  • Tom Clanton’s brother-in-law, Chris, will have another cancer removed on his arm today.

  • Velta Zoeller’s nephew, Scott, is living with her brother, James. Scott went through a divorce and a back surgery. He is very depressed and suicidal. They are not getting along. Pray for Scott’s emotions and for a better relationship with his dad. 

  • Keaire Wilkins (Sheireka's son) needs prayer.

  • Trent Harkins (teenage son of Beth and Greg) is at Basic Training in Fort Benning, GA. Pray for Trent to have a successful time at training and for his family as they will miss him over the summer.

  • John Daniels needs calls of encouragement because he doesn’t know what steps to take next with Sharon. She does well during the day but gets confused in the evenings.

  • Please pray for Lynda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • Pray for Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 20), that God would intervene and draw him back into a relationship with the Lord and with his family.

  • Wilma Cude’s spot on her lung is the same and may be a scar from her previous pneumonia. She will have it checked again in six months.

  • Trent Harkins (teenage son of Beth and Greg) is at Basic Training in Fort Benning, GA. Pray for Trent to have a successful time at training and for his family as they will miss him over the summer.

  • John Daniels needs calls of encouragement because he doesn’t know what steps to take next with Sharon. She does well during the day but gets confused in the evenings.

  • Please pray for Lynda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • Pray for Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 20), that God would intervene and draw him back into a relationship with the Lord and with his family.

  • Pray for the people of Israel and the Middle East. Pray that Christ would be made known, pray for peace in and around Israel, pray for the protection of innocents in the entire area. Continue to pray for those working to spread the Good News in the midst of this crisis.

Hospitalizations and Illnesses

  • Debbie Weir is still having heart issues after her previous procedure. 

  • Wilma Cude’s spot on her lung is the same and may be a scar from her previous pneumonia. She will have it checked again in six months.  

  • Don Cude will have surgery on his nose August 13. Pray for a smooth surgery and recovery.

  • Madi Grogan has been in the hospital this past week dealing with ongoing severe abdominal pain, along with several other medical issues. She has several outpatient appointments with doctors from Mayo in the coming days. Pray for guidance for the doctors as they look for the causes of Madi’s pain and a solution that will bring healing to her body. Pray for peace for her mind, as well as endurance and comfort for her family.

  • Anna Harkins is nearing the end of her medicine changes. So far, by the grace of God, she's not had anymore seizures. Please join her parents, Greg and Beth, in prayer that these medications continue to help her live seizure free again.

  • Bob Boyer has carpal tunnel syndrome in his right wrist. He’s been given medication, a brace, and exercises to do. Please pray for healing. 

  • Former member, Dwayne Smith, is recovering from heart bypass at rehab, but having difficulty with his leg. Please pray for healing for Dwayne and comfort for Deanna.

  • Cathy Burris’ friend, Greg Earles, was in a serious car accident. He is healing.

  • Pat Boyer had an ultrasound on her kidney Friday. She’s waiting to be scheduled for a kidney procedure on August 21 by an interventional radiologist. Please pray it is successful.

  • John Burris’ grandson, John Burris II, had his colon removed. He is doing well after his treatment.

  • Helen Wilkerson moved successfully to a first-floor room at Tealridge in Edmond. Continue praying for her adjustment. 

  • Sherrill Sageser’s pain pump was turned up from .5 to .7 (42%), but it hasn’t helped yet. He is now scheduled with a VA neurologist on August 28 as a second opinion for his Lewy body dementia. 

  • Robin Smith had an ultrasound May 30th for an abnormality in her breast. Please pray for wisdom, peace and healing.

  • Jayne Manley’s son-in-law, Dan Franklin, just retired and learned he has cancer in his spine. 

  • Bob Boyer’s great-niece, Hailey (21), is struggling again with the residual brain tumor left behind in an earlier surgery. Please pray for correct treatment for her. 

  • Evan and Levi Prince’s friend, Jeremy P., has stomach cancer. Be in prayer for him as he and his doctors decide on treatments.

  • Sam Wittner is suffering with arthritis. Charlotte is aware that she is having some issues with dementia.

  • Robert Manning’s daughter, Shelly Leaf, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Pray for Shelly and her doctors.

  • One of our GED students has an adult daughter, Felicity, who has a heart valve defect and has been having trouble with blood clots which are threatening to cause the loss of toes. Pray for healing for Felicity and that her doctors would have guidance in her care.

  • Diana Barr’s dad has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Be in prayer for their family as they seek the best treatments.

  • Dennis & Charline DeWitt have not been in Church since October 2023. Dennis had a number of procedures and health problems Please pray for his healing.

  • Katie MacDougall is undergoing treatment for her lung disease. Please continue praying this treatment would reduce inflammation, slow disease progression, and reduce the need for more unpleasant treatment options as well as wisdom for her pulmonary teams at Mayo and OU. 

  • Carol and Johnny Just’s granddaughter Marek Merideth. Earlier this month her MRI indicated that the brain tumor remains stable.   She has completed the oral chemo protocol so was taken off the medicine.  It had significant side effects so I'm sure her quality of life will be improved but we still need prayer the tumor does not grow!

  • Johnny and Carol Just’s son-in-law, Mitch Merideth, had a heart transplant in 2016. He continues to struggle with health problems and other problems related to liver failure. Also, it was discovered he has a heart valve that was damaged from the multiple biopsies done to monitor transplant rejection, which may need surgical intervention in the future. The accumulation of stress has taken a toll on their marriage. Pray for mercy and peace.

New Prayer Requests

  • Wilma Cude will have a follow-up CT scan on Thursday to check the spot on her upper lung. Please pray it is smaller or gone. 

  • Don Cude will have surgery on his nose August 13. Pray for a smooth surgery and recovery.

  • Pray for volunteers for our Preschool Ministry. They are in dire need of volunteers to teach during the small group hour (a weekly commitment) or to love on children during the worship service (a monthly or quarterly commitment.) Our Preschool ministry is the first place many babies and preschoolers learn about Jesus’ love for them. Ongoing Requests

  • Velta Zoeller’s nephew, Scott, is living with her brother, James. Scott went through a divorce and a back surgery. He is very depressed and suicidal. They are not getting along. Pray for Scott’s emotions and for a better relationship with his dad. 

  • Keaire Wilkins (Sheireka's son) has pending charges. Please pray for the family as they navigate meetings with his attorney and the DA, for peace in the waiting (court scheduled for Aug. 5th), and for the most positive outcome possible. Geneva Skala is experiencing some problems and requests prayers for strength.

  • Pat Boyer is waiting to be scheduled by an interventional radiologist, who will use two probes to freeze the tumor inside her right kidney. Then he will repeat the procedure within a couple hours, hoping the tumor breaks apart and dissolves without surgery. Please pray the procedure works. Her pulmonologist continues to monitor the growth in her lung. 

  • John Burris’ grandson, John Burris II, had his colon removed. Please pray for his recovery. 

  • Velta Zoeller’s brother went to the ER with his irregular heart rhythm and got a pacemaker implanted to treat it. Now he doesn’t have to wait until July for his appointment.
