New Prayer Requests

  • Stan Kitchell’s father passed away on Saturday morning, December 16. Please be in prayer for the Kitchell family at this time.

  • Diana Barr’s dad ha been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He will have a biopsy on December 21st and an appointment with an oncologist on the 22nd. Be in prayer for their family as they seek the best treatments.

  • Vicki MacDougall was recently in the ICU due to passing out at a routine doctor’s appointment. Please pray for her as she is home recovering and for wisdom for her doctors.

  • During this holiday season, remember to pray for those who have lost loved ones.

  • Pray for the people of Israel and the Middle East. Pray that Christ would be made known, pray for peace in and around Israel, pray for the protection of innocents in the entire area. Continue to pray for those working to spread the Good News in the midst of this crisis.

Ongoing Requests

  • Pray for Jason and Cari Warfe and family. Jason’s mother passed away unexpectedly. A memorial service is planned for a later date.

  • John and Cathy Burris are now moved into their new apartment at Baptist Village. They will have an estate sale at their home and then sell their property. Please pray for them as they make this transition.

  • Pray for Nell Head after the loss of her brother, Vance.

  • Emily Harrison requests prayer for a friend named Jrey who has a difficult life and seeks to live differently. Pray for him to know the true love of Christ and find stability in walking through life with Jesus.

  • Terry and Susan Leatherwood and their son Daniel continue to visit with one another. Daniel has recently started a good job working with excavating equipment. Pray for continued improvement in family relationships.

  • Jeffery and Belinda Yesslith’s son, Aurelius, is in basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia, with the National Guard. Please pray for his experience and for his parents. He will return home next month.

  • Pray for Cory Pruitt, Greg Bienick and Kathy Quinllan as they all seek new jobs. Pray that the Lord would guide them each to the employer and position that will be a blessing to their families and help them to live sent in their work place.

  • Please pray for Linda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • The Just’s nephew, Jason, is in prison. Please pray Colossians 1:9-10 over him. He professes Christ and wants to live for Him during incarceration.

  • Pray for Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 20), that God would intervene and draw him back into a relationship with the Lord and with his family.

Hospitalizations and Illnesses

  • Pray for Don Cude’s neighbor, David, who has prostate cancer. Pray for his treatment and healing.

  • Sherrill Sageser is weaker after his pain pump placement last week. It will not be filled with medication for two weeks or longer. Please pray for more strength and for pain relief.

  • Annecia Pinkston is recovering from her broken kneecap. The orthopedist said she can do whatever she wants, but it’s still a bit difficult to get around.

  • Tom Clanton’s brother-in-law, Chris, recovered from Covid but still needs a stent put in his aneurysm. This procedure is not yet approved in the US because of the location of his aneurysm. Please pray for his treatment.

  • Kelly Horne had a heart attack and had two stents inserted. He is recovering at home and doing well.

  • Katie MacDougall is undergoing treatment for her lung disease. Please continue praying this treatment would reduce inflammation, slow disease progression, and reduce the need for more unpleasant treatment options as well as wisdom for her pulmonary teams at Mayo and OU. 

  • Danny Zoeller’s heart monitor had a malfunction and was sent for repairs.

  • George Larson has throat cancer. His wife is in a wheelchair, and his daughter had an injury. Please pray for this family.

  • Carol and Johnny Just’s granddaughter Marek is being treated for a brain tumor that was diagnosed in 2019. They appreciate prayers for the brain tumor to remain stable or shrink.

  • Johnny and Carol Just’s son-in-law, Mitch Merideth, had a heart transplant in 2016. He continues to struggle with health problems related to liver failure caused from many years of taking medications for his heart failure and then heart transplant.  Please pray he can manage the condition and gain some weight.

  • Sherrill Sageser is scheduled to have surgery this Thursday, December 7 to implant a pain pump in his back. Please pray it is the correct treatment and will relieve his pain. Pray for him and Linda as he recovers.

  • Annecia Pinkston fell last Thursday at home while carrying groceries. She broke her left knee cap. She’s seeing an orthopedic doctor on Tuesday. Please pray it heals quickly.

Please pray this treatment would be approved by insurance quickly, reduce inflammation, slow disease progression, and reduce the need for more unpleasant treatment options as well as wisdom for her pulmonary teams at Mayo and OU. To ensure the best care in the event these treatments don’t work, Katie has met with the transplant team at Mayo Clinic. Please pray for wisdom and peace with this process, but also that the treatments would eliminate or delay the need for transplant.

New Prayer Requests

  • John and Cathy Burris were notified that Baptist Village has an apartment available for them on November 10. They are now rushing to make the transition. Please pray for safety and calmness as they prepare to move.

  • Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 19), has finally been in touch with their family. PRAISE GOD! Beverly requests that we continue to pray for him to come to know the Lord and for God to provide him with a peer group that will encourage him.

Hospitalizations and Illnesses

  • Katie MacDougall’s follow-up with her doctor at Mayo resulted in changes in treatment. Please pray this treatment would be approved by insurance quickly, reduce inflammation, slow disease progression, and reduce the need for more unpleasant treatment options as well as wisdom for her pulmonary teams at Mayo and OU. To ensure the best care in the event these treatments don’t work, Katie is going back to Mayo this week to meet with the transplant team there for an initial consultation. Please pray for wisdom and peace with this process, but also that the treatments would eliminate or delay the need for transplant.  

  • Sherrill Sageser passed the psychiatric evaluation and is now waiting for insurance to approve his pain pump

  • Terry Mason is recovering well from knee replacement surgery and is released to drive.

  • Belinda Yesslith has a lung disease that is incurable. It is not cancer. Pray for her comfort and relief from coughing. Her son should be home in December from the National Guard.

  • Danny Zoeller’s heart monitor had a malfunction and was sent for repairs.

  • Charlotte Wittner will have an EEG in October to search for the reason for her passing out. She is having difficulty walking on her left leg.

  • Sam Wittner has great pain in his shoulders but continues to try to do chores around the house.

  • Haley and Jonathan Cordova have moved her mother in their home. She has dementia. Pray for them as they adjust and as they provide care for her.

  • George Larson has throat cancer. His wife is in a wheelchair, and his daughter had an injury. Please pray for this family.

  • Carol and Johnny Just’s granddaughter Marek is being treated for a brain tumor that was diagnosed in 2019. She will have her regularly scheduled every 3 month MRI on September 18. They appreciate prayers for the brain tumor to remain stable or shrink.

  • Rodney Lee's brother, David, had his kidney removed earlier this year due to cancer. The pathology report indicated it was ureteral cancer and not kidney cancer even though the tumor was in the kidney. They have been monitoring him with scans every three months and as of the last scan in early August, there is no indication that the cancer has spread to any other organs, the bladder being the main concern. He has decided to forgo radiation or chemo and is opting for a wholistic nutritional approach to recover and stay healthy. He is doing well and feeling stronger since the surgery. Thank for you for your continued prayers as he recovers.

  • Sharon Daniels is on medication for her dementia. Please pray she will be able to stay home. Continue to pray for John as he cares for her.

  • Curtis Yerby’s cousin-in-law, Tim Lynch, is ill with an infection he acquired after a medical procedure in Idaho. His initial injuries stem from a vehicle crashing into the wall of his workplace and causing damage to the base of his brain and his diaphragm. Please pray that he will receive good care and that his medical team will have wisdom to care for him, as well as praying for his full and complete healing

  • Johnny and Carol Just’s son-in-law, Mitch Merideth, had a heart transplant in 2016. He continues to struggle with health problems related to liver failure caused from many years of taking medications for his heart failure and then heart transplant.  Please pray he can manage the condition and gain some weight.

  • Kathy Quillin is still unemployed.  She has made applications; gone thru the interview stage; and then, she believes the potential employer determines her age; and she is not offered a position.  She has now almost depleted her savings, ran out of unemployment and it is now critical that she find employment.  If you know of anyone looking for an employee who is on time; dedicated, honest and willing to do the work, please contact Kathy.  Also, please pray that an opening will become available for her to go back to work; either full time or part time.  She would like to work full time; however, at this time she is willing to take a part time position.    

  • The Just’s granddaughter, Sophia Weihermueller, is walking independently with her new brace and only needs her new wheelchair for long distances. We are thankful for her recovery and all your prayers!

  • Katie MacDougall was discharged from Mayo on 10/20. The cause of her lung functioning decline is still being determined, but her next steps will be determined at a follow-up on 10/30. Please pray for wisdom regarding treatment and healing for her lungs. 

  • Nadine Jones has undergone two abdominal surgeries in the past two weeks. She is home now, but under doctor’s orders not to bend, twist or lift during her recovery. She is the primary daytime caregiver for her 8 month old twins and 2 year old daughter. Pray for her full healing and that the Lord would continue to be faithful to meet their needs during this time.

  • Karen Davis is back home from California and is on IV meds at home.

  • Sherrill Sageser’s trial pain injection helped for a short time. Therefore, a psyche evaluation is scheduled for Tuesday. Next will be the actual pain pump implant surgery.

  • Terry Mason is recovering from his knee replacement surgery. He’s been in pain, but his doctor is pleased with the outcome.

  • Belinda Yesslith has a lung disease that is incurable. It is not cancer. Pray for her comfort and relief from coughing. Her son should be home in December from the National Guard.

  • Mary Kitchell’s latest scan showed her lung cancer is smaller and her lesions are healing. God is a miracle worker. Please pray for healing and comfort for Mary, as well as that she is able to eat more and gain back the weight she has lost in this difficult time.

  • Danny Zoeller had a CT and MRI on his back last week. He’s still wearing a heart monitor.

  • Charlotte Wittner will have an EEG in October to search for the reason for her passing out. She is having difficulty walking on her left leg.

  • Sam Wittner has great pain in his shoulders but continues to try to do chores around the house.

  • Haley and Jonathan Cordova have moved her mother in their home. She has dementia. Pray for them as they adjust and as they provide care for her.

  • George Larson has throat cancer. His wife is in a wheelchair, and his daughter had an injury. Please pray for this family.

  • Lela Eberly’s dental infection has healed. Please pray for her back, as she is in constant pain due to an accident.

  • Katie McDougall will be meeting with her team at Mayo Clinic at 3:45pm on Tuesday, October 17. This is a very critical appointment for her in this journey with her lung problems. Jack and Pam Nance are hosting a corporate time of prayer for Katie on the 17th at 3:15pm in order to cover her and the team with prayer before and during the appointment. Their address is 6204 Commodore Lane (Ski Island.) Please continue to pray for her lung infections and underlying lung disease to respond to treatment, and wisdom for her doctors in Oklahoma and Minnesota as they proceed.

  • Carol and Johnny Just’s granddaughter Marek is being treated for a brain tumor that was diagnosed in 2019. She will have her regularly scheduled every 3 month MRI on September 18. They appreciate prayers for the brain tumor to remain stable or shrink.

  • Rodney Lee's brother, David, had his kidney removed earlier this year due to cancer. The pathology report indicated it was ureteral cancer and not kidney cancer even though the tumor was in the kidney. They have been monitoring him with scans every three months and as of the last scan in early August, there is no indication that the cancer has spread to any other organs, the bladder being the main concern. He has decided to forgo radiation or chemo and is opting for a wholistic nutritional approach to recover and stay healthy. He is doing well and feeling stronger since the surgery. Thank for you for your continued prayers as he recovers.

  • Karen Davis has a recurring infection from diverticulitis and a UTI. She is back on antibiotics and may have an MRI soon to further investigate an effective treatment.

  • Cathy Burris is improving and is now able to help John in the kitchen some.

  • Curtis Yerby’s cousin-in-law, Tim Lynch, is ill with an infection he acquired after a medical procedure in Idaho. His initial injuries stem from a vehicle crashing into the wall of his workplace and causing damage to the base of his brain and his diaphragm. Please pray that he will receive good care and that his medical team will have wisdom to care for him, as well as praying for his full and complete healing

  • Nell Head’s brother, Vance, fell and broke his spine. He has had surgery. Pray for his recovery.

  • Terry Mason is scheduled to have his right knee replacement on October 12.

  • Johnny and Carol Just’s son-in-law, Mitch Merideth, had a heart transplant in 2016. He continues to struggle with health problems related to liver failure caused from many years of taking medications for his heart failure and then heart transplant.  Please pray he can manage the condition and gain some weight.

  • Kathy Quillin is still unemployed.  She has made applications; gone thru the interview stage; and then, she believes the potential employer determines her age; and she is not offered a position.  She has now almost depleted her savings, ran out of unemployment and it is now critical that she find employment.  If you know of anyone looking for an employee who is on time; dedicated, honest and willing to do the work, please contact Kathy.  Also, please pray that an opening will become available for her to go back to work; either full time or part time.  She would like to work full time; however, at this time she is willing to take a part time position.

New Prayer Requests

  • Jim and Karen Davis will leave Wednesday for California to visit with their son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren for three weeks.  Pray for safety and good health.

  • Belinda Yesslith has a lung disease that is incurable. It is not cancer. Pray for her comfort and relief from coughing. Her son should be home in December from the National Guard.

Ongoing Requests

  • Lori Wilson passed away after her long battle with cancer. Please continue to pray for her mother and children, as well as her many friends and family members, as they grieve her passing.

  • Terry and Susan Leatherwood’s 20-year-old granddaughter in Georgia was shot and killed in a Walmart by her ex-boyfriend. He then shot himself. Please pray for this family during this time of loss. In addition, their son, Daniel, is planning to come over with the grandkids. Pray for reconciliation for this family.

  • LouAnna Dunn’s son passed away while visiting her. He lived in Texas. Please pray for her comfort as she grieves.

  • Barbara Rogers’ son had an unexpected private emergency. He will be away for a while. Prayers very specifically please for the spiritual forces of darkness to be overcome by the goodness of God.

  • Jeffery and Belinda Yesslith’s son, Aurelius, is in basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia, with the National Guard. Please pray for his experience and for his parents.

  • Pray for Cory Pruitt as he hunts for a new job. Pray for the Lord to bring peace and comfort, as well as a new job for Cory.

  • Please pray for Linda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • The Just’s nephew, Jason, is in prison. Please pray Colossians 1:9-10 over him. He professes Christ and wants to live for Him during incarceration.

  • Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 19), is not in contact with family and they are concerned for him.  Please pray for safety, that he has somewhere to stay & is working, & for his future.

  • Mary Kitchell’s latest scan showed her lung cancer is smaller and her lesions are healing. God is a miracle worker. Please pray for healing and comfort for Mary.

  • Danny Zoeller had a stress test and learned that the back part of his heart is not functioning properly. He will be wearing a heart monitor for a few weeks. He may have to have a back fusion surgery in December.

  • Katie MacDougall has gone to the Mayo Clinic twice the past month and will return again in mid-October to attempt to manage a significant decline in lung functioning. Please pray for her lung infections and underlying lung disease to respond to treatment, and wisdom for her doctors in Oklahoma and Minnesota as they proceed. 

  • Charlotte Wittner will have an EEG in October to search for the reason for her passing out. She is having difficulty walking on her left leg.

  • Sam Wittner has great pain in his shoulders but continues to try to do chores around the house.

  • Haley and Jonathan Cordova have moved her mother in their home. She has dementia. Pray for them as they adjust and as they provide care for her.

  • George Larson has throat cancer. His wife is in a wheelchair, and his daughter had an injury. Please pray for this family.

  • Lela Eberly has a dental infection. Prayer for healing is appreciated.

  • Cathy Burris had an adjustment on her brain shunt hoping to improve her balance, but it did not help. Pray for her medical team to have guidance on next steps and for her as she recovers.

  • Stan and Mary Kitchell both have Covid. Mary’s CT last week was about the same as before. In addition, Stan’s parents have both fallen recently. His mom was bruised up worse than his dad. At least they are in a facility receiving care as Stan can’t go there now.

  • George Larson has throat cancer. His wife is in a wheelchair, and his daughter had an injury. Please pray for this family.

  • Lela Eberly has a dental infection. Prayer for healing is appreciated.

  • Carol and Johnny Just’s granddaughter Marek is being treated for a brain tumor that was diagnosed in 2019. She will have her regularly scheduled every 3 month MRI on September 18. They appreciate prayers for the brain tumor to remain stable or shrink.

  • Rodney Lee's brother, David, had his kidney removed earlier this year due to cancer. The pathology report indicated it was ureteral cancer and not kidney cancer even though the tumor was in the kidney. They have been monitoring him with scans every three months and as of the last scan in early August, there is no indication that the cancer has spread to any other organs, the bladder being the main concern. He has decided to forgo radiation or chemo and is opting for a wholistic nutritional approach to recover and stay healthy. He is doing well and feeling stronger since the surgery. Thank for you for your continued prayers as he recovers.

  • Curtis Yerby’s cousin-in-law, Tim Lynch, is ill with an infection he acquired after a medical procedure in Idaho. His initial injuries stem from a vehicle crashing into the wall of his workplace and causing damage to the base of his brain and his diaphragm. Please pray that he will receive good care and that his medical team will have wisdom to care for him, as well as praying for his full and complete healing

  • Nell Head’s brother, Vance, fell and broke his spine. He has had surgery. Pray for his recovery.

  • Terry Mason is scheduled to have his right knee replacement on October 12.

  • Johnny and Carol Just’s son-in-law, Mitch Merideth, had a heart transplant in 2016. He continues to struggle with health problems related to liver failure caused from many years of taking medications for his heart failure and then heart transplant.  Please pray he can manage the condition and gain some weight.

  • Kathy Quillin is still unemployed.  She has made applications; gone thru the interview stage; and then, she believes the potential employer determines her age; and she is not offered a position.  She has now almost depleted her savings, ran out of unemployment and it is now critical that she find employment.  If you know of anyone looking for an employee who is on time; dedicated, honest and willing to do the work, please contact Kathy.  Also, please pray that an opening will become available for her to go back to work; either full time or part time.  She would like to work full time; however, at this time she is willing to take a part time position.

  • Mary Kitchell is still shaky and unstable, and she fell. She is having a CT scan today (Monday). Pray fo her and for Stan as they continue to seek the best available treatments for her health.

  • George Larson has throat cancer. His wife is in a wheelchair, and his daughter had an injury. Please pray for this family.

  • Barbara Rogers’ son had an unexpected private emergency. He will be away for a while. Prayers very specifically please for the spiritual forces of darkness to be overcome by the goodness of God.

  • Katie MacDougall's lung functioning declined significantly at her last lung functioning test, indicating current treatment is not working. She is going to the Mayo Clinic Tuesday for a second opinion. Please pray for wisdom for her doctors for treatment and healing for Katie’s lungs.

  • Tom Clanton had foot surgery and will have to use a knee scooter. Please pray for a quick recovery and for Gail and she cares for him.

  • Megan Glennie’s mother, Tina Stout, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia several months ago. She had a successful stem cell transplant. Her doctors will continue to be monitor to ensure that the cells graft as they are supposed to do. Continue to pray for her health and that this treatment works.

After overcoming the infections, she is now home. She is continuing treatments, including an at home wound vac, and will need to see a plastic surgeon. Continue to pray for her full healing and for her parents as they care for her injury.

  • Monica Janacek suffered a spontaneous coronary artery dissection. She is home. Pray for her continued healing. Also, pray for her and Josh as they grieve the death of their son.

  • Mary Kitchell’s small brain tumors have disappeared, and her large ones have shrunk. Praise the Lord! She is still not eating well and is very weak from losing so much weight. Pllease keep her and Stan in your prayers.

  • The Yerby’s 6-month old great-granddaughter, Quinnlee, had surgery on Friday, June 24. Please be praying for her healing.

  • Bob Boyer’s great-niece, Haley, had a successful brain tumor surgery. They were able to remove most of the tumor, which may not be cancerous. Now she has an infection and is unable to start chemo. She is on steroids and not doing well.

  • Sam Wittner has torn a shoulder muscle and may need surgery. Because he struggles to walk using two canes he will have great difficulty getting around, even in a wheelchair. He also has a respiratory infection. He and Charlotte need prayers and encouragement.

  • Sherrill Sageser is trying a new medication for his severe back pain. He’s now recovering from a urinary procedure. Also, the cause of his tremors is due to Lewy body dementia, but he couldn’t tolerate the prescribed medication. He sees his neurologist this week. Please pray something can help him as he’s depressed about how all these issues are coming at once.

  • Pray for Roman Jones, infant son of David and Nadine. Roman was diagnosed with moderate-severe hearing loss and received his new hearing aids last week. Pray for him as he adjusts to all the noises he can now hear.

  • Sagesers’ grandson, Aaron, has a broken collarbone. Pray for a quick healing before he starts back to college in August.

  • Monica Janacek suffered a spontaneous coronary artery dissection. She is home. Pray for her continued healing. Also, pray for her and Josh as they grieve the death of their son.

  • Mary Kitchell’s small brain tumors have disappeared, and her large ones have shrunk. Praise the Lord! She is still not eating well and is very weak from losing so much weight. Pllease keep her and Stan in your prayers.

  • Lori Wilson is now on hospice care. Lori is having issues with her panic/anxiety attacks and is finally in therapy for them. Please pray for peace of mind for Lori and patience/grace for all involved.  Please also pray that the therapy is successful in getting rid of these attacks for good.
    Pray for Anna Pope as she looks for a job locally. She is currently in Fayetteville, AR, and she is wanting to move back to the OKC area.

  • The Yerby’s 6-month old great-granddaughter, Quinnlee, had surgery on Friday, June 24. Please be praying for her healing.

  • Bob Boyer’s great-niece, Haley, had a successful brain tumor surgery. They were able to remove most of the tumor, which may not be cancerous. Now she has an infection and is unable to start chemo. She is on steroids and not doing well.

  • Johnny and Carol Just’s son-in-law, Mitch Merideth, had a heart transplant in 2016. He continues to struggle with health problems related to liver failure caused from many years of taking medications for his heart failure and then heart transplant.  Please pray he can manage the condition and gain some weight.

  • George Dickson is having issues with his heart and blood pressure. Pray that the doctors can find and answer and make a good treatment plan.

  • Karen Davis is on IV antibiotics for an infection. Doctors have been unable to find the cause of her infection.

  • Kathy Quillin is needing our prayers for wisdom, direction and health. Kathy has several health issues needing to be covered in prayer. She is specifically asking for the Dr’s wisdom and direction, as well as resolution and healing. Also, Kathy’s current job was eliminated on December 30th, and she is looking for another job that would fit her area of expertise and hours she needs. Please pray God would bring to light any obstacles that might stand in the way of moving forward and that she can find another job quickly.  

  • The Just’s granddaughter, Sophia Weihermueller, is walking independently with her new brace and only needs her new wheelchair for long distances. We are thankful for her recovery and all your prayers!

  • Please pray for Jason Caruthers (26 years old) who was shot in a random drive-by shooting in downtown OKC on January 1st. He has been fighting for his life since then. Jason is the bother of CHBC member Brittany Freeman. She has been his sole caregiver since the incident. Please pray for Brittany, as well. She has missed a lot of work and needs encouragement.

  • Megan Glennie’s mother, Tina Stout, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia several months ago. She had a successful stem cell transplant. Her doctors will continue to be monitor to ensure that the cells graft as they are supposed to do. Continue to pray for her health and that this treatment works.

  • Katie MacDougall is having another diagnostic procedure on her lungs on August 24th. Please pray for the procedure as her doctor works to diagnose a second lung disease and improve the success of her current treatment.

  • Stan and Mary Kitchell left Saturday for eight days in Branson. They are celebrating their 50th anniversary. Please pray for her health and their safety.

  • The Leatherwoods’ son, Daniel, and his wife Cory have separated. He has a mental health diagnosis and is not taking the medication his doctor has prescribed. Please pray for his health and their reconciliation.

  • Sharon Daniels is back home and on medication for her dementia. Please pray she will be able to stay home. Continue to pray for John as he cares for her.

  • Cathy Burris fell again at home. They learned that her new brain shunt can be adjusted for the fluid pressure so changes will be made. She is still confused and in pain with her broken collarbone but is in good spirits.

  • Curtis Yerby’s cousin-in-law, Tim Lynch, is ill with an infection he acquired after a medical procedure in Idaho. His initial injuries stem from a vehicle crashing into the wall of his workplace and causing damage to the base of his brain and his diaphragm. Please pray that he will receive good care and that his medical team will have wisdom to care for him, as well as praying for his full and complete healing

  • Nell Head’s brother, Vance, fell and broke his spine. He has had surgery. Pray for his recovery.

  • Terry Mason is scheduled to have his right knee replacement on October 12.

  • Sam Wittner has torn a shoulder muscle and may need surgery. Because he struggles to walk using two canes he will have great difficulty getting around, even in a wheelchair. He also has a respiratory infection. He and Charlotte need prayers and encouragement.

  • Kelli Brantley’s teenage niece, Sophie, was having cardiac issues but doctors were able to find a medication that will control her rapid heartbeat and she was released from the hospital.

  • Tom Clanton had foot surgery and will have to use a knee scooter. Please pray for a quick recovery and for Gail and she cares for him.

  • Karen Davis had a procedure to check her infection. There are surgical options, but she doesn’t like them. Pray for her healing and for wisdom for her doctors.

  • Wilma Cude still has an infection in one lung, but it is shrinking with new medication.

  • Sherrill Sageser is trying a new medication for his severe back pain. He’s now recovering from a urinary procedure. Also, the cause of his tremors is due to Lewy body dementia, but he couldn’t tolerate the prescribed medication. He sees his neurologist this week. Please pray something can help him as he’s depressed about how all these issues are coming at once.

David's oncologist feels like they were able to remove all the cancerous tissue along with the kidney, but they will continue to monitor him every 3 months to make sure it didn't spread to the bladder. They have suggested either radiation or chemotherapy as a precaution and he is weighing those options. Pray for his healing.

  • The Leatherwoods’ daughter, Rachel, had a brain MRI. She is now receiving treatments for migraines. She is also receiving treatment for kidney stones.

  • Tom Clanton had foot surgery and will have to use a knee scooter. Please pray for a quick recovery and for Gail and she cares for him.

  • Karen Davis had a procedure to check her infection. There are surgical options, but she doesn’t like them. Pray for her healing and for wisdom for her doctors.

  • Wilma Cude still has an infection in one lung, but it is shrinking with new medication.

  • Sherrill Sageser is trying a new medication for his severe back pain. He’s now recovering from a urinary procedure. Also, the cause of his tremors is due to Lewy body dementia, but he couldn’t tolerate the prescribed medication. He sees his neurologist this week. Please pray something can help him as he’s depressed about how all these issues are coming at once.

  • Pray for Lindsey and Kyle Bardwell as they are grieving the loss of her pregnancy. Pray for Lindsey’s physical healing and for the emotional healing of each member of their family.

  • Pray for Roman Jones, infant son of David and Nadine. Roman was diagnosed with moderate-severe hearing loss and fitted for hearing aids. Pray for an easy adjustment to using hearing devices for baby Roman. Pray for his parents as they learn what they need to know to help their baby.

  • Sagesers’ grandson, Aaron, has a broken collarbone. Pray for a quick healing before he starts back to college in August.

  • Monica Janacek suffered a spontaneous coronary artery dissection. She is home. Pray for her continued healing. Also, pray for her and Josh as they grieve the death of their son.

  • Mary Kitchell’s small brain tumors have disappeared, and her large ones have shrunk. Praise the Lord! She is still not eating well and is very weak from losing so much weight. Pllease keep her and Stan in your prayers.

  • Lori Wilson is now on hospice care. Lori is having issues with her panic/anxiety attacks and is finally in therapy for them. Please pray for peace of mind for Lori and patience/grace for all involved.  Please also pray that the therapy is successful in getting rid of these attacks for good.
    Pray for Anna Pope as she looks for a job locally. She is currently in Fayetteville, AR, and she is wanting to move back to the OKC area.

  • The Yerby’s 6-month old great-granddaughter, Quinnlee, had surgery on Friday, June 24. Please be praying for her healing.

  • Bob Boyer’s great-niece, Haley, had a successful brain tumor surgery. They were able to remove most of the tumor, which may not be cancerous. Now she has an infection and is unable to start chemo. She is on steroids and not doing well.

  • Johnny and Carol Just’s son-in-law, Mitch Merideth, had a heart transplant in 2016. He continues to struggle with health problems related to liver failure caused from many years of taking medications for his heart failure and then heart transplant.  Please pray he can manage the condition and gain some weight.

  • George Dickson is having issues with his heart and blood pressure. Pray that the doctors can find and answer and make a good treatment plan.

  • Rodney Lee's brother, David, had surgery to have his kidney removed as a result of kidney cancer. David's oncologist feels like they were able to remove all the cancerous tissue along with the kidney, but they will continue to monitor him every 3 months to make sure it didn't spread to the bladder. They have suggested either radiation or chemotherapy as a precaution and he is weighing those options. Pray for his healing.

  • The Leatherwoods’ daughter, Rachel, had a brain MRI. She is now receiving treatments for migraines. She is also receiving treatment for kidney stones.

  • Karen Davis is on IV antibiotics for an infection. Doctors have been unable to find the cause of her infection.

  • Kathy Quillin is needing our prayers for wisdom, direction and health. Kathy has several health issues needing to be covered in prayer. She is specifically asking for the Dr’s wisdom and direction, as well as resolution and healing. Also, Kathy’s current job was eliminated on December 30th, and she is looking for another job that would fit her area of expertise and hours she needs. Please pray God would bring to light any obstacles that might stand in the way of moving forward and that she can find another job quickly.  

  • The Just’s granddaughter, Sophia Weihermueller, is walking independently with her new brace and only needs her new wheelchair for long distances. We are thankful for her recovery and all your prayers!

  • Please pray for Jason Caruthers (26 years old) who was shot in a random drive-by shooting in downtown OKC on January 1st. He has been fighting for his life since then. Jason is the bother of CHBC member Brittany Freeman. She has been his sole caregiver since the incident. Please pray for Brittany, as well. She has missed a lot of work and needs encouragement.

  • Megan Glennie’s mother, Tina Stout, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia several months ago. She had a successful stem cell transplant. Her doctors will continue to be monitor to ensure that the cells graft as they are supposed to do. Continue to pray for her health and that this treatment works.

  • Katie MacDougall is receiving treatment for a lung condition. Please continue praying for her and her doctors as she adjusts to treatment.  

  • Carol and Johnny Just’s granddaughter Marek is being treated for a brain tumor that was diagnosed in 2019. She had her regularly scheduled every 3 month MRI on June 24th, which showed the tumor had shrunk slightly. They appreciate prayers for the brain tumor to remain stable or shrink. She will have another MRI in 3 months.

  • Roger and Megan Godwin welcomed twin boys on June 17. Cyrus and Cedrick were born prematurely and spent 6 weeks in NICU. They were able to go home yesterday (July 30)! Praise God! Please continue to pray for their family as they adjust to life as a family of 7 and continue to pray for the babies to grow, be healthy and thrive at home.

  • Cathy Burris’ brain tumor was discovered one year ago. She has gone through many challenges with the surgery and was even told she may never walk again. But God has blessed her in her recovery, and she has improved so much.

New Prayer Requests

  • Stan Kitchell received permission to keep his father in assisted living for one more week with a 24-hour nurse, allowing him to remain with Stan’s mother for a little longer. They will have to move him to long-term care next week. Pray for Stan and his parents as they make these difficult transitions.

  • Terry Mason is scheduled to have his right knee replacement on October 12.

  • Charlotte Wittner blacked out with a possible seizure. Pray for her treatment.

  • Sam Wittner has torn a shoulder muscle and may need surgery. Because he struggles to walk using two canes he will have great difficulty getting around, even in a wheelchair. He also has a respiratory infection. He and Charlotte need prayers and encouragement.

  • Kelli Brantley’s teenage niece, Sophie, has cardiac issues with a racing heartbeat. She’s in Children’s Hospital. (Her father passed away last year.) They are scheduled to leave on vacation this Tuesday. Please pray for her recovery.

  • Jeffery and Belinda Yesslith’s son, Aurelius, is in basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia, with the National Guard. Please pray for his experience and for his parents.

  • Please pray for Linda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • The Just’s nephew, Jason, is in prison. Please pray Colossians 1:9-10 over him. He professes Christ and wants to live for Him during incarceration.

  • Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 19), is not in contact with family and they are concerned for him.  Please pray for safety, that he has somewhere to stay & is working, & for his future.
