New Prayer Requests

  • LouAnna Dunn’s son passed away last week while visiting her. He lived in Texas. Please pray for her comfort.

  • Mary Kitchell is still shaky and unstable, and she fell. She is having a CT scan today (Monday). Pray fo her and for Stan as they continue to seek the best available treatments for her health.

  • George Larson has throat cancer. His wife is in a wheelchair, and his daughter had an injury. Please pray for this family.

  • Barbara Rogers’ son had an unexpected private emergency. He will be away for a while. Prayers very specifically please for the spiritual forces of darkness to be overcome by the goodness of God.

  • Lela Eberly has a dental infection. Prayer for healing is appreciated.

Ongoing Requests

  • Jeffery and Belinda Yesslith’s son, Aurelius, is in basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia, with the National Guard. Please pray for his experience and for his parents.

  • Cory and Kamry Pruitt are grieving a preganancy loss. Additionally, Cory was laid off due to a reduction in force by his employer. Pray for Kamry’s physical healing as well as their whole family during this difficulty season. Pray for the Lord to bring peace and comfort, as well as a new job for Cory.

  • Please pray for Linda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • The Just’s nephew, Jason, is in prison. Please pray Colossians 1:9-10 over him. He professes Christ and wants to live for Him during incarceration.

  • Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 19), is not in contact with family and they are concerned for him.  Please pray for safety, that he has somewhere to stay & is working, & for his future.

  • The Leatherwoods request prayer for their relationship with their son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Cory.

Hospitalizations and Illnesses

  • Carol and Johnny Just’s granddaughter Marek is being treated for a brain tumor that was diagnosed in 2019. She will have her regularly scheduled every 3 month MRI on September 18. They appreciate prayers for the brain tumor to remain stable or shrink.

  • Rodney Lee's brother, David, had his kidney removed earlier this year due to cancer. The pathology report indicated it was ureteral cancer and not kidney cancer even though the tumor was in the kidney. They have been monitoring him with scans every three months and as of the last scan in early August, there is no indication that the cancer has spread to any other organs, the bladder being the main concern. He has decided to forgo radiation or chemo and is opting for a wholistic nutritional approach to recover and stay healthy. He is doing well and feeling stronger since the surgery. Thank for you for your continued prayers as he recovers.

  • Katie MacDougall's lung functioning declined significantly at her last lung functioning test, indicating current treatment is not working. She is going to the Mayo Clinic Tuesday for a second opinion. Please pray for wisdom for her doctors for treatment and healing for Katie’s lungs. 

  • Karen Davis had another procedure to try to get rid of the infection she’s had for one year. Pray that it is successful. Doctors have been unable to find the cause of her infection.

  • Charlotte Wittner is having issues with balance and falls. Pray that this issue resolves for her safety and physical wellness.

  • Sam Wittner’s hip is popping out of the socket. Please pray for improvement for him.

  • Lori Wilson’s cancer has spread. Prognosis is not good. She is on hospice care. Please pray for peace of mind for Lori and grace for her family.

  • Sherrill Sageser has severe back pain, and new medications are not helping. On Thursday he will have another urinary procedure that has a 70% success rate. Pray it will help.

  • Cathy Burris had an adjustment on her brain shunt hoping to improve her balance, but it did not help. Pray for her medical team to have guidance on next steps and for her as she recovers.

  • The Leatherwoods’ son, Daniel, and his wife Cory have separated. He has a mental health diagnosis and is not taking the medication his doctor has prescribed. Please pray for his health and their reconciliation.

  • Sharon Daniels is back home and on medication for her dementia. Please pray she will be able to stay home. Continue to pray for John as he cares for her.

  • Curtis Yerby’s cousin-in-law, Tim Lynch, is ill with an infection he acquired after a medical procedure in Idaho. His initial injuries stem from a vehicle crashing into the wall of his workplace and causing damage to the base of his brain and his diaphragm. Please pray that he will receive good care and that his medical team will have wisdom to care for him, as well as praying for his full and complete healing

  • Nell Head’s brother, Vance, fell and broke his spine. He has had surgery. Pray for his recovery.

  • Stan Kitchell will move both of his parents to Harbor Chase on May. Pray for Stan and his parents as they make these difficult transitions. His parents have been married 71 years and want to stay together as long as possible.

  • Terry Mason is scheduled to have his right knee replacement on October 12.

  • Tom Clanton had foot surgery and will have to use a knee scooter. Please pray for a quick recovery and for Gail and she cares for him.

  • Johnny and Carol Just’s son-in-law, Mitch Merideth, had a heart transplant in 2016. He continues to struggle with health problems related to liver failure caused from many years of taking medications for his heart failure and then heart transplant.  Please pray he can manage the condition and gain some weight.

  • George Dickson is having issues with his heart and blood pressure. Pray that the doctors can find and answer and make a good treatment plan.

  • Kathy Quillin is still unemployed.  She has made applications; gone thru the interview stage; and then, she believes the potential employer determines her age; and she is not offered a position.  She has now almost depleted her savings, ran out of unemployment and it is now critical that she find employment.  If you know of anyone looking for an employee who is on time; dedicated, honest and willing to do the work, please contact Kathy.  Also, please pray that an opening will become available for her to go back to work; either full time or part time.  She would like to work full time; however, at this time she is willing to take a part time position.    

  • The Just’s granddaughter, Sophia Weihermueller, is walking independently with her new brace and only needs her new wheelchair for long distances. We are thankful for her recovery and all your prayers!

  • Please pray for Jason Caruthers (26 years old) who was shot in a random drive-by shooting in downtown OKC on January 1st. He has been fighting for his life since then. Jason is the bother of CHBC member Brittany Freeman. She has been his sole caregiver since the incident. Please pray for Brittany, as well. She has missed a lot of work and needs encouragement.

  • Megan Glennie’s mother, Tina Stout, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia several months ago. She had a successful stem cell transplant. Her doctors will continue to be monitor to ensure that the cells graft as they are supposed to do. Continue to pray for her health and that this treatment works. 

  • Members with continuing health concerns: Karen Davis, Jim Davis, Kevin Fox, David Spiva, Cameron Frank, Cathy Burris, Michelle Hawkins’ brother, Mark Manning, Frazier’s nephew and his wife; Greg and Sarah Frazier, Glenda Phillips.

Missions and Ministry Requests

  • Pray for our country and elected leaders.

  • Brian and Stephany Meister are serving in New York City.

  • Zac Hanes is at his military AIT training. Zac is in the National Guard.

  • Hannah and Ben Hanes are missionaries serving in the Bronx in NYC.

  • Mary Andrews is in India working with the E3 Partner’s organization to take the gospel to the unreached there. Please pray for her ministry.

  • Logan & Morgan Hanni & their sons, Liam & Grayson, are serving a 3 year term as IMB missionaries to Southeast Asia. Please pray for their travel, language learning and cultural adjustment. Pray for unreached people groups in Southeast Asia to come to a saving faith in Jesus.

Praises

  • Roger and Megan Godwin welcomed twin boys on June 17. Cyrus and Cedrick were born prematurely and spent 6 weeks in NICU. Please pray for their family as they adjust to life as a family of 7 and continue to pray for the babies to grow, be healthy and thrive at home.
