New Prayer Requests

  • Pray for Byron Myers, one of Robin and Mark Myers twins. He is about 4 months old and has been having digestive issues keeping him from gaining weight. Byron's grandparents are Steve and Lisa Myers, former CHBC members.

  • Anna Harkins (teen daughter of Greg and Beth) has had several medical emergencies over the past two weeks. She is currently hospitalized due to a severe medication reaction. Please be in prayer for the Harkins’ as they wait for Anna’s care team of doctors to find the best treatments moving forward and pray especially for Anna’s healing.

Ongoing Requests

  • Velta Zoeller’s granddaughter, Nikki, lost her job due to many medical emergencies and not being able to notify them in time. Please pray she can find another job and that she will be healthier. 

  • Boyers’ grandson, Grayson Dinh, will begin the police academy on Wednesday, which will last 7 months. Pray for safety as he learns.

  • Lynda Ramsey’s daughter, Lisa, escaped a bad situation at home and now has a job in Texas. Please pray for her safety and ability to work successfully

  • Debra Bacorn is going to manage the kitchen for us. She asks that we pray about what Wednesday night meals might look like in the upcoming year as she begins to plan and prepare.

  • Pray for the children of Brenda Yesslith to be drawn closer to the Lord. They live in Phoenix and Los Angeles.

  • Roger and Megan Godwin, along with their 5 children, lost their home last month in a fire. Pray for their family as they move through this difficult trial.

  • Pray for the Weigand’s friends who are workers in North Africa.

  • Tia Philbin is taking legal action in a very traumatic situation that she experienced in the past. She is asking for strength and peace during the process as well as justice to be served.

  • Paul Christy is serving in the Air Force in Italy. Pray for community and strength for him as he’s away for the next few years. 

  • Pray for those in our church family who are looking for employment, that the Lord would provide for their needs and place them in the right position for their gifts, talents, and to be used for His glory.

  • Keaire Wilkins (Sheireka's son) needs prayer for the outcome of his review request.

  • Pray for wisdom for John Daniels as he cares for Sharon.

  • Please pray for Lynda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael, is now 22 and married but not supporting himself well. He only communicates with his sister but not the rest of his family. Pray that God would draw him back into a relationship with the Lord and his family. 

Hospitalizations and Illnesses

  • Virginia Cheng (Mark Stapp’s daughter’s mother-in-law) fell and broke her hip. She had surgery.. Virginia also has dementia. Please pray for her and her husband, Paul, as she recovers. 

  • Sherrill Sageser has begun having sciatica pain in his left hip and knee, in addition to his ongoing back pain. He will have x-rays and an MRI of his lower back at the VA next month. Please pray for relief of his pain and for better mobility.  Also, he needs an increased disability rating with the VA. 

  • Debbie Weir’s younger brother, Ken White, has cancer in his liver. No treatment is possible because of its location. He is not a Christian and doesn’t want to hear about God. Please pray for his salvation and health. 

  • Boyers’ friend, Shirley, has breast cancer. It was found early, and she is taking treatments. Pray for healing. 

  • Mary Kitchell saw an orthopedic oncologist about the cancerous tumor in her upper leg. He was not particularly alarmed about it and will monitor its growth again in September. 

  • Lois Phelps’ sister, Peggy Bysun, is having emergency surgery to replace her pacemaker and her body is battling sepsis, which makes the surgery even more complicated. Prayers for Peggy, her medical team, and Lois are appreciated.

  • Pray for Tanya Fobasso’s parents health and well being that God would provide exactly what her family needs.

  • Members with continuing health concerns: Madi Grogan, Abigail Gulley, Karen Davis, Jim Davis, Kevin Fox, David Spiva, Cameron Frank, Cathy Burris, Michelle Hawkins’ brother, Mark Manning, Frazier’s nephew and his wife; Greg and Sarah Frazier, Sherrill Sageser, Sam Wittner, Charlotte Wittner, Sharon Daniels, Belinda Yesslith.

Missions and Ministry Requests

  • Noah Leslie will spend the summer serving in NYC at Everlasting Church.

  • Pray for our country and elected leaders.

  • Hannah and Ben Hanes are missionaries serving in the Bronx in NYC.

  • Logan & Morgan Hanni & their sons, Liam, Grayson and new baby Kaleb, are serving a 3-year term as IMB missionaries to Southeast Asia. Please pray for their travel, language learning and cultural adjustment. Pray for unreached people groups in Southeast Asia to come to a saving faith in Jesus.

  • De’Vonte’ Pittman is serving on the mission field in North Africa. He will be there at least a year. Pray for him and for the people groups with whom he will be sharing the gospel.

  • Pray the congregation at Northeast Fellowship, that they would grow in their love for God and each other. Pray for their community, specifically for the new people moving to their community that the Lord would use their church to reach them with the gospel and equip them to meet their physical needs. Let everything they do/plan be devotional, and draw them closer to the Lord.

CHBC prison ministry Prayer requests

Please keep the following requests in your prayers this week.

  • Chad Lansford is praying to know more of how he can be part of God glorifying His Kingdom.  He also asks for prayer for his mother Degina and brother Matt, and that their relationship with one another would be healed and restored.  And he requests prayer for his relationship with his girlfriend Amanda.

  • Pray for encouragement for Ricky, and full submission to God’s will, and healing for his mental wellbeing.

  • Roger is praying for his meal needs for vegetarian only to be received and honored, as he seeks to honor God.

  • Cannan Genkins is a new 18 yr old inmate, who’s mother is involved in prison ministry for Crossings.  Pray for this young man to surrender his life to Jesus, and understand the better way to truly “live” even in prison.

  • Preston—requests prayer for the health of his mother-in-law and mother, and for his wife’s wellbeing.

  • James Blanchard and his application to stay at an Oxford house upon release to be reviewed with favor.

  • Byron asks for prayer of encouragement and direction for his son Brandon dealing with spiritual attacks, and that he would be brought closer to Jesus, seeking God’s Glory.

  • Prayer for Chris W’s dealing with some debilitating health issues, and that he can continue serving God in his current capacity as DOC Field Minister.

  • Prayer for Dean’s mental health and stability, as he serves God in the role of Field Minister at Allan Gamble CC.

  • Pray for Miguel’s spiritual well-being, and that he would stay focused on Jesus and how Jesus sees the people around him.

  • Pray for Leslie and his ability to keep his eyes on Jesus and simply serve God in the capacity that God desires.

  • Pray for Aaron L., a man who God has anointed to be a preacher & minister, as CHBC in partnership with many other individuals from all walks of life, work with him toward ordination.

New Prayer Requests

  • Kathy Quillin is suffering from from multiple health issues. Her doctor is trying to find the reason for her fatigue.

  • Charlotte Wittner has been put on palliative care to keep her comfortable. She has Stage 2 Alzheimer’s disease. Please pray for Charlotte and Sam and their daughter, Maggie.

  • Sherrill Sageser’s sister-in-law, Jane Sageser, is in Critical Care in Albuquerque. Pray for her and her husband, Ken.

He doesn’t yet know the cause of her problems but wants another brain MRI to compare with past ones and possibly a spinal tap to rule out MS. Please pray she gets a correct diagnosis and treatment plan.

  • Virginia Cheng (Mark Stapp’s daughter’s mother-in-law) fell last week and broke her hip. She had surgery on Saturday. Virginia also has dementia. Please pray for her and her husband, Paul, as she recovers. 

  • Annecia Pinkston’s niece, Lauren (41), passed away from cancer. Please pray for the Butler and Pinkston families during this difficult time. 

  • Pat Boyer’s uncle, Tommy, passed away last week. His wife’s sister, Janet, is about to pass away soon. Please pray for her family.

  • Linda Sageser had another IgG lab test at her oncologist’s office, which shows her immunity is dropping too low again. She may need another infusion. 

  • Don Cude’s cousin, Darrell Shumack, passed away from cancer of the jaw and neck. They had a celebration of his life. 

  • Debbie Weir’s younger brother, Ken White, has cancer in his liver. No treatment is possible because of its location. He is not a Christian and doesn’t want to hear about God. Please pray for his salvation and health.

  • Tom Clanton’s friend, Jimmy Lehew, passed away last week. He had been an evangelist, and several pastors spoke at the celebration of his life.

  • Sam and Charlotte Wittner - The spots on Charlotte’s liver and kidney were cysts that are not concerning. Charlotte’s dementia is progressing. Pray for Sam to have patience in caring for his wife.

  • Don Cude’s cousin, Darrell Shumack, has Stage 4 cancer in his jaw and neck. Doctors are not able to use chemo to treat it, and he’s not doing well. Please pray for God’s will for Darrell. 

  • Nell Head is back home after her knee replacement surgery and is doing very well.

  • The Boyers’ daughter-in-law, Stephanie, is out of the hospital and is using a CPAP and oxygen.

  • Debbie Weir’s younger brother, Ken White, has cancer in his liver. No treatment is possible because of its location. He is not a Christian and doesn’t want to hear about God. Please pray for his salvation and health. 

  • Boyers’ friend, Shirley, has breast cancer. It was found early, and she is taking treatments. Pray for healing. 

  • Velta Zoeller’s brother, James, had the bones in his mouth to deteriorate. His teeth were pulled and dentures made. He is adjusting. His son, Scott, is taking his diuretic for fluid accumulation. Pray he continues taking it properly. 

  • Mary Kitchell saw an orthopedic oncologist about the cancerous tumor in her upper leg. He was not particularly alarmed about it and will monitor its growth again in September. The Kitchells traveled to Texas for Mary’s sister’s funeral recently. 

  • Don Cude’s blood pressure was in the normal range this week. Pray it will continue.

  • Tara Sageser finally had a neurology appointment 8 months after her episodes of imbalance and weakness when walking. He doesn’t yet know the cause of her problems but wants another brain MRI to compare with past ones and possibly a spinal tap to rule out MS. Please pray she gets a correct diagnosis and treatment plan. 

  • Lois Phelps’ sister, Peggy Bysun, is having emergency surgery to replace her pacemaker and her body is battling sepsis, which makes the surgery even more complicated. Prayers for Peggy, her medical team, and Lois are appreciated.

  • Tom Clanton’s friend, Jimmy Lehew, is now in skilled nursing following his surgery for a broken leg. He is a former evangelist and has many health issues including diabetes.  Please pray for his healing and recovery. 

  • Belinda Yesslith’s aunt, Alice Mute, is in a nursing home on oxygen. She had been hospitalized with lung problems. In addition, Belinda has lung cancer and her hair is thinning and falling out, possibly due to her treatment.

  • Kathy Quillan’s shoulder pain is gone. She had an outpatient procedure Monday, May 5th. Pray for her healing.

  • Pray for Tanya Fobasso’s parents health and well being that God would provide exactly what her family needs.

  • Sam and Charlotte Wittner - The spots on Charlotte’s liver and kidney were cysts that are not concerning. Charlotte’s dementia is progressing. Pray for Sam to have patience in caring for his wife.

Please keep the following requests in your prayers this week.

  • Please be in prayer for Marcell.  He is a man who is very genuine in his confession of faith, and dependency on the Lord as he moves forward.  We discussed his missing right hand and how he lost it saving his daughter from a fireworks injury a few years back.  Pray for his peace and protection, as well as peace and protection for his family.

  • Pray for Mace, a new guard at Lexington.

  • Pray for Aaron L., a man who God has anointed to be a preacher & minister, as CHBC in partnership with many other individuals from all walks of life, work with him toward ordination.

  • Jim White, been in prison for 45 years, and has parole hearing coming up in August.  Wants to join his wife and family.

  • Pray for Kerry, a volunteer, for encouragement through some marital struggles he is facing.

  • Pray for students, parents, and teachers who are preparing for a new school year.

  • Lynda Ramsey’s daughter, Lisa, escaped a bad situation at home and now has a job in Texas. Please pray for her safety and ability to work successfully

  • Kim and Kent Melton’s son, Cole, is now a radiation oncologist. He will be in OKC for a time and then work in Tulsa. 

  • Debra Bacorn is going to manage the kitchen for us. She asks that we pray about what Wednesday night meals might look like in the upcoming year as she begins to plan and prepare.

  • Pray for the children of Brenda Yesslith to be drawn closer to the Lord. They live in Phoenix and Los Angeles.

  • Roger and Megan Godwin, along with their 5 children, lost their home last month in a fire. Pray for their family as they move through this difficult trial.

  • Pray for the Weigand’s friends who are workers in North Africa.

  • Tia Philbin is taking legal action in a very traumatic situation that she experienced in the past. She is asking for strength and peace during the process as well as justice to be served.

  • Please be in prayer for Madi Grogan. She was taken to the hospital last week in severe pain and briefly admitted to ICU. Pray for wisdom for the doctors and that they might be able to uncover the cause of this severe pain, as well as a plan to help Madi moving forward.

  • Shannon Jenkins was admitted to OHH for blood clots in his lungs. They did a procedure to break up the blood clot and now it is gone.  Praise the Lord. Pray for continue healing and he will not have to have any more shots in his stomach. He should be able to go home tomorrow.

  • Please pray for Anna Harkins.  In May she experienced an unusual “neurological event” and this past week she has had three more.  The next two weeks are full of several visits to specialists at OU and the week of June 16-19 she is being hooked up to an EEG at home. Please pray the Lord is gracious to give them answers, as well as give the doctors she sees insight and wisdom.

CHBC prison ministry Prayer requests

Please keep the following requests in your prayers this week.

  • Pray for comfort for a man named Hammett.  His wife passed away approx. 1 yr ago and he is really struggling with this loss.  They were very close, and he is having difficulty every day.

  • Derrick asks for restoration/protection for his relationship with his mom.

  • Pray for Angel, and his daughter named Holly Jo.  He asks for prayer for their relationship, as he is expecting to get to see again very soon upon his release.

  • Kyle asks for prayer for his relationship with his mother, back home in Stillwater.

  • Matt is a Christian man from Moore seeking quick resolution of confirmation of his having completed his time served, as he is looking forward to returning home.  This is a praise and a prayer.

  • Pray for Siera, taking on a lot of new responsibilities for his “home church” in Lexington prison, as well as preparing for his Junior year of study for the OBU program.

  • Larry Wells asks for prayer for his family, and asks that they would forgive him.

  • Pray for Michael that he would not fall into temptations of the flesh which can be seemingly overwhelming at times.  He seeks and desires to continue to call on the name of the Lord, to remain fully surrendered to Jesus Christ!

  • Tyler just found out he was approved for parole, and will be returning to his home town.  Pray that he finds a church home where he can feel welcome and comfortable as he continues his journey with The Lord!

  • Pray for Aaron L., a man who God has anointed to be a preacher & minister, as CHBC in partnership with many other individuals from all walks of life, work with him toward ordination.

  • Pray for Logan Pair, leaving Joseph Harp correctional soon, and working with Crossings Church to secure a spot to live at Hope Is Alive.

  • Jim White, been in prison for 45 years, and has parole hearing coming up in August.  Wants to join his wife and family.

  • Charlie Bird, been in prison for 33 years, a member of our chapel band at Joseph Harp, asks for prayer for favor with the parole board.

  • Anthony asks for prayer and reminders to call on the name of the Lord when temptations present themselves.  Help him find a new way forward.

  • Pray for Kerry, a volunteer, for marital struggles he is facing.

New Prayer Requests

Special note: There will be no new prayer email on Tuesday, June 24 or Tuesday, July 1. Prayer emails will resume on Tuesday, July 8.

  • Shannon Jenkins was admitted to OHH for blood clots in his lungs. They did a procedure to break up the blood clot and now it is gone.  Praise the Lord. Pray for continue healing and he will not have to have any more shots in his stomach. He should be able to go home tomorrow.

  • Linda Lowrey, former CHBC member, passed away last Tuesday from cancer. Her service will be at Quail Springs Baptist Church this Friday morning at 11:00. Please pray for her husband, Don, her son, Matt, and the family. 

  • Nell Head’s feet and legs are swollen, and her knee is painful. Pray she receives proper treatment. 

  • Sagesers are going on vacation to Branson during June 21-25. Please pray for traveling safety and that no one will have medical issues. 

  • Boyers’ friend, Shirley, has breast cancer. It was found early, and she is taking treatments. Pray for healing. 

Ongoing Requests

  • Kim and Kent Melton’s son, Cole, is now a radiation oncologist. He will be in OKC for a time and then work in Tulsa. 

  • Debra Bacorn is going to manage the kitchen for us. She asks that we pray about what Wednesday night meals might look like in the upcoming year as she begins to plan and prepare.

  • Pray for the children of Brenda Yesslith to be drawn closer to the Lord. They live in Phoenix and Los Angeles.

  • Roger and Megan Godwin, along with their 5 children, lost their home last week in a fire. Pray for their family as they move through this difficult trial.   • Debbie Weir accepted a new job position that is a lateral move without a pay decrease.  She will start in a couple weeks. 

  • Pray for the Weigand’s friends who are workers in North Africa. They lost their home sending church. They have still not been able to connect with a new sending church, as travel and ministry difficulties make it hard to return to the states to build that support system back up. Pray for the Lord to provide answers and support according to His will.

  • Tia Philbin is taking legal action in a very traumatic situation that she experienced in the past. She is asking for strength and peace during the process as well as justice to be served.

  • Paul Christy is serving in the Air Force in Italy. Pray for community and strength for him as he’s away for the next few years. 

  • Pray for those in our church family who are looking for employment, that the Lord would provide for their needs and place them in the right position for their gifts, talents, and to be used for His glory.

  • Keaire Wilkins (Sheireka's son) needs prayer for the outcome of his review request.

  • Pray for wisdom for John Daniels as he cares for Sharon.

  • Please pray for Lynda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • Pray for Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 20), that God would intervene and draw him back into a relationship with the Lord and with his family.

Hospitalizations and Illnesses

  • Velta Zoeller’s brother, James, had the bones in his mouth to deteriorate. His teeth were pulled and dentures made. He is adjusting. His son, Scott, is taking his diuretic for fluid accumulation. Pray he continues taking it properly. 

  • Please pray for Anna Harkins.  In May she experienced an unusual “neurological event” and this past week she has had three more.  The next two weeks are full of several visits to specialists at OU and the week of June 16-19 she is being hooked up to an EEG at home. Please pray the Lord is gracious to give them answers, as well as give the doctors she sees insight and wisdom.

  • Connie Fiser will have hip replacement surgery on June 16th. Pray for a successful surgery and smooth journey of healing.

  • Mary Kitchell’s cancer has metastasized to the bone in her leg. This causes the bone to become brittle, and very susceptible to breaking. She has an appointment with an orthopedic oncologist at the Stephenson Cancer Center on June 20. She is weaker and unstable.

  • Don Cude’s blood pressure was in the normal range this week. Pray it will continue.

  • Tara Sageser still has not been able to get into a neurologist for her unbalance issues. Pray that someone will agree to see her.  

  • Lois Phelps’ sister, Peggy Bysun, is having emergency surgery to replace her pacemaker and her body is battling sepsis, which makes the surgery even more complicated. Prayers for Peggy, her medical team, and Lois are appreciated.

  • Tom Clanton’s friend, Jimmy Lehew, is now in skilled nursing following his surgery for a broken leg. He is a former evangelist and has many health issues including diabetes.  Please pray for his healing and recovery. 

  • The Kitchells’ nephew, Scott, has diabetes and had part of his foot amputated. Please pray it heals properly. 

  • Belinda Yesslith’s aunt, Alice Mute, is in a nursing home on oxygen. She had been hospitalized with lung problems. In addition, Belinda has a very cloudy lung with no treatment available. The doctor said she may have three years yet to live. She trusts in God. 

  • Dan Maddux, Donna Sharp’s friend, will have his other knee replacement surgery on June 23rd. Pray for healing.

  • Kathy Quillan’s shoulder pain is gone She had an outpatient procedure Monday, May 5th. Pray for her healing.

  • Pray for Tanya Fobasso’s parents health and well being that God would provide exactly what her family needs.

  • Sam and Charlotte Wittner - The spots on Charlotte’s liver and kidney were cysts that are not concerning. Charlotte’s dementia is progressing. Pray for Sam to have patience in caring for his wife.

  • Pray for a man called Turtle, who knows the Truth, but needs to rest in humility and simple accept that same Truth, surrendering to the glory that is the forgiveness and promises of God for salvation.

  • Pray for Matthew and Stephen, that truth and God’s will would be worked out in their lives, and that they would have eyes to see it as such, and a heart of understanding.

  • Pray for Deshawn, that he would be encouraged, and that his prayers for God to SHOW HIM what he is seeking to understand would be answered!

  • Pray for the family of John, executed this past week at McAlister.  Pray for all the families affected by the sin that led to this moment, and praise God for the salvation that was worked out in John’s life while he was still on this earth.

  • Pray for Aaron L., a man who God has anointed to be a preacher & minister, as CHBC in partnership with many other individuals from all walks of life, work with him toward ordination.

  • Praise for the door that God has opened in LARC at Lexington, for those men (ICE and others) now being baptized inside of the maximum security LARC unit!  This is only possible by God’s mighty hand of grace and mercy!

  • Praise for the upcoming baptism of a man named Tre, this coming Saturday night at CHBC’s Lexington chapel service!

CHBC prison ministry Prayer requests

Please keep the following requests in your prayers this week.

  • Lift up Eric in prayer.  He is an OBU graduate, and the FIRST to be SENT into the field, the mission field.  He arrived at his new prison home to a welcome party by those who were already there.  God is moving, and the remainder of the field ministers are about to be SENT by God.  They will be going forth in the coming 2 weeks.  Pray for God’s hedge of protection around these men, and for them to stay FOCUSED ON GOD and remind them of the provisions that He is already making for them as they start to participate and be present for this NEW WORK that the LORD IS ALREADY DOING!

  • Pray for Dean, Aaron, and Miguel, venturing forth very soon as field ministers, to one of the darkest DOC prisons in the state (Allen Gamble).  Pray for favor with the warden, the DOC officials, the other inmates and the chaplain.  Pray that their souls would be encouraged, and that fruit would immediately be harvested by these men, and all the others, upon their arrival to the places they are being SENT!

  • Pray for peace beyond understanding for all of the men being SENT as field ministers!

  • Pray for Will, that God would continue to work on his understanding, and that he would be saved.

CHBC prison ministry Prayer requests

Please keep the following requests in your prayers this week.

  • Praise that Barry was able to transition to minimum facility.  He is one of the OBU students, soon to be working as a field minister, and formally from CHBC in the 1990’s as a youth.  God is blessing him!

  • Justin Landers is a young man who is one of 3 men participating in the Knitting ministry at Joseph Harp.  These men continuously knit American flag afghans, which are distributed to disabled veterans.  Lately their yarn supply has been scarce, and they need more yarn to continue their efforts.

  • Pray for Will, a man who is currently pondering the Good News of the gospel as he came to understand it in a much more meaningful way on 06/02.   He needs to surrender his life.

  • Pray for a former satanist named Anthony, who surrendered his life to Jesus Christ and repented of his rebellion, on May 14th this year!

  • Pray for Jayden whose brother recently passed away.

  • A man named Dixon requests general prayer

  • Matt requests prayer for his upcoming case review, that truth would be known and reflected in all that happens.

  • Continue to keep all the 29 OBU graduates in your prayers.  The expectation is they will all be setting out on their missions into the Oklahoma prisons around the middle of June, as Field Ministers.  They are nervous and excited, as they begin to sing this new song to God during this new chapter of their walk with Him!

New Prayer Requests

  • Mary Kitchell had a routine bone scan that showed some concerning spots in her leg and an emergency MRI was completed. Her cancer has metastasized to the bone in her leg. This causes the bone to become brittle, and very susceptible to breaking. They have referred her to an orthopedic oncologist and are awaiting a call from Stephenson Cancer Center. 

  • Lois Phelps’ sister, Peggy Bysun, is having emergency surgery to replace her pacemaker and her body is battling sepsis, which makes the surgery even more complicated. Prayers for Peggy, her medical team, and Lois are appreciated.

Ongoing Requests

  • Pray for the children of Brenda Yesslith to be drawn closer to the Lord. They live in Phoenix and Los Angeles.

  • Roger and Megan Godwin, along with their 5 children, lost their home last week in a fire. Pray for their family as they move through this difficult trial.   • Velta Zoeller’s brother, James, still has a difficult relationship with his son, Scott. Scott has had many problems during his life. He recently went to the hospital with heart problems and back pain. The doctor prescribed a medication that might help him live another five years. If he doesn’t take it, he won’t. Scott won’t listen to anyone sharing the gospel. Please pray for his salvation and health. 

  • Pray for the Weigand’s friends who are workers in North Africa. They lost their home sending church. They have still not been able to connect with a new sending church, as travel and ministry difficulties make it hard to return to the states to build that support system back up. Pray for the Lord to provide answers and support according to His will.

  • Tia Philbin is taking legal action in a very traumatic situation that she experienced in the past. She is asking for strength and peace during the process as well as justice to be served.

  • Paul Christy is serving in the Air Force in Italy. Pray for community and strength for him as he’s away for the next few years. 

  • Pray for those in our church family who are looking for employment, that the Lord would provide for their needs and place them in the right position for their gifts, talents, and to be used for His glory.

  • Keaire Wilkins (Sheireka's son) needs prayer for the outcome of his review request.

  • Pray for wisdom for John Daniels as he cares for Sharon.

  • Please pray for Lynda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • Pray for Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 20), that God would intervene and draw him back into a relationship with the Lord and with his family.

  • Mark and Robin Myers (son and daughter-in-law of former members, Steve and Lisa) welcomed their precious identical twin boys into the world on April 26. Barrett and Byron were 9 weeks early and are still in the NICU. Pray for complete healing and growth for them, wisdom for doctors/nurses, as well as comfort and energy for their parents.

  • Tom Clanton’s friend, Jimmy Lehew, is now in skilled nursing following his surgery for a broken leg. He is a former evangelist and has many health issues including diabetes.  Please pray for his healing and recovery. 

  • The Kitchells’ nephew, Scott, has diabetes and had part of his foot amputated. Please pray it heals properly. 

  • Belinda Yesslith’s aunt, Alice Mute, is in a nursing home on oxygen. She had been hospitalized with lung problems. In addition, Belinda has a very cloudy lung with no treatment available. The doctor said she may have three years yet to live. She trusts in God. 

  • Pat Boyer had carpal tunnel surgery on her left hand, but she’s not able to grip well with it. She will probably need therapy. 

  • Cathy Burris’ brother, Bob, was released to a 21 day physical rehab facility. He is still in a lot of pain, healing very slowly, but he should make a full recovery and has a positive outlook. He was able to sit up to watch TV.

  • Dan Maddux, Donna Sharp’s friend, will have his other knee replacement surgery, however it was postponed due to a tooth infection. .

  • Kathy Quillan’s shoulder pain is gone She had an outpatient procedure Monday, May 5th. Pray for her healing.

  • Pray for Tanya Fobasso’s parents health and well being that God would provide exactly what her family needs.

  • Sam and Charlotte Wittner - The spots on Charlotte’s liver and kidney were cysts that are not concerning. Charlotte’s dementia is progressing. Pray for Sam to have patience in caring for his wife.

  • Joe Pellegrin had a mild heart attack a little over a week ago. He had blockages of 70% and 95%. Both were corrected with one stent. He’s in room 274 of the Heart Hospital and will spend the night with Cyllene by his side. Please pray for his recovery.

  • Geneva Skala had an emergency surgery Saturday to remove part of her colon due to a blockage and twist. She is in ICU, but her body seems to be shutting down. She wants to go home to be with Jesus. Please pray for peace and comfort for her and for her daughter, Debra.

  • Joe Pellegrin had a mild heart attack Sunday evening. He had blockages of 70% and 95%. Both were corrected with one stent. He’s in room 274 of the Heart Hospital and will spend the night with Cyllene by his side. Please pray for his recovery.

  • Velta Zoeller’s brother, James, still has a difficult relationship with his son, Scott. Scott has had many problems during his life. He recently went to the hospital with heart problems and back pain. The doctor prescribed a medication that might help him live another five years. If he doesn’t take it, he won’t. Scott won’t listen to anyone sharing the gospel. Please pray for his salvation and health. 

  • Pray for the Weigand’s friends who are workers in North Africa. They lost their home sending church. They have still not been able to connect with a new sending church, as travel and ministry difficulties make it hard to return to the states to build that support system back up. Pray for the Lord to provide answers and support according to His will.

  • Tia Philbin is taking legal action in a very traumatic situation that she experienced in the past. She is asking for strength and peace during the process as well as justice to be served.

  • Belinda Yesslith’s aunt, Alice Mute, is in a nursing home on oxygen. She had been hospitalized with lung problems. In addition, Belinda has a very cloudy lung with no treatment available. The doctor said she may have three years yet to live. She trusts in God. 

  • Pat Boyer’s cousin, Tami Yeakley, is in the hospital with heart issues. 

  • Pat Boyer had carpal tunnel surgery on her left hand, but she’s not able to grip well with it. She will probably need therapy. 

  • Cathy Burris’ brother, Bob, was released to a 21 day physical rehab facility. He is still in a lot of pain, healing very slowly, but he should make a full recovery and has a positive outlook. He was able to sit up to watch TV.

  • Dan Maddux, Donna Sharp’s friend, will have his other knee replacement surgery May 12.

  • Pray for Mark and Robin Myers, son and daughter-in-law of former members, Steve and Lisa. Robin is pregnant with identical twins her pregnancy is high-risk due to earlier complications. Pray for a good, full-term pregnancy. Her due date is the end of June.

  • Kathy Quillan’s shoulder pain is gone She had an outpatient procedure Monday, May 5th. Pray for her healing.

New Prayer Requests

  • Tom Clanton’s friend, Jimmy Lehue, lives at Baptist Village and fell at night. He broke his leg and was scheduled for surgery on Sunday. He is a former evangelist and has many health issues including diabetes.  Please pray for his healing and recovery.

  • Abigail Gulley has been diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. Pray for her, as well as Chris and Christi, as they navigate the challenges and changes this diagnosis will bring.

  • Jim Davis is having his blood pressure medication adjusted, which the doctor hopes will prevent more falls. 

  • The Kitchells’ nephew, Scott, has diabetes and had part of his foot amputated. Please pray it heals properly.

  • Keno King had lab work done that showed no circulation of cancer cells, so he is technically cancer-free! Please pray for his kidney function to improve and the cancer to remain gone.

  • Courtney Pongracz has visited our church and is due with her first baby on April 15th. It was discovered that the baby is breached. There's also a major concern with the placenta. Please pray for safety for baby boy (Sylas) and mom Courtney and their medical team as they make a delivery plan. 

  • Madi Grogan, daughter of Jeff and Amanda, has had ongoing pain and been seeing doctors hoping for a diagnosis and treatment plan. Pray for healing for her body.

New Prayer Requests

  • There are no new requests this week.

Ongoing Requests

  • Alex and Amanda are looking for childcare for their 3-year-old twin boys Asher and Archer. Their daycare is closing in July and so they are working to make different arrangements that will meet the needs of their family while providing quality care for the boys.

  • Please be in prayer for Will, the adult son of a man who was in Scott Sanbar’s class in Middle and High School. Will has many serious life challenges, and needs all our prayers desperately, as well as does all the family.

  • Pray for the salvation of Scott Sanbar’s son, Tyler, and Tyler’s girlfriend, Kayla.

  • Pray for the Weigand’s friends who are workers in North Africa. They lost their home sending church. They have still not been able to connect with a new sending church, as travel and ministry difficulties make it hard to return to the states to build that support system back up. Pray for the Lord to provide answers and support according to His will.

  • Tia Philbin is taking legal action in a very traumatic situation that she experienced in the past. She is asking for strength and peace during the process as well as justice to be served.

  • Paul Christy is serving in the Air Force in Italy. Pray for community and strength for him as he’s away for the next few years. 

  • Pray for those in our church family who are looking for new jobs, that the Lord would provide for their needs and place them in the right position for their gifts, talents, and to be used for His glory.

  • Keaire Wilkins (Sheireka's son) needs prayer.

  • Pray for wisdom for John Daniels as he cares for Sharon.

  • Please pray for Lynda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • Pray for Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 20), that God would intervene and draw him back into a relationship with the Lord and with his family.

  • Pray for the people of Israel and the Middle East. Pray that Christ would be made known, pray for peace in and around Israel, pray for the protection of innocents in the entire area. Continue to pray for those working to spread the Good News in the midst of this crisis.

Hospitalizations and Illnesses

  • Courtney Pongracz has visited our church and is due with her first baby on April 15th. It was discovered that the baby is breached. There's also a major concern with the placenta. Please pray for safety for baby boy (Sylas) and mom Courtney and their medical team as they make a delivery plan. 

  • Helen Wilkerson is on hospice at this time. Continue to pray for her and her loved ones.

  • Velta Zoeller has had Covid. Danny had it earlier. Pray for their recovery. 

  • Tasha Jackson’s dad had brain surgery on March 26 at 2:00pm to remove an adenoma tumor on his pituitary gland. Pray for his healing and protection against complications.

  • Madi Grogan, daughter of Jeff and Amanda, has had ongoing pain and been seeing doctors hoping for a diagnosis and treatment plan. Pray for healing for her body.

  • Abigail Gulley has been diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. Pray for her, as well as Chris and Christi, as they navigate the challenges and changes this diagnosis will bring.

  • Jim Davis is having his blood pressure medication adjusted, which the doctor hopes will prevent more falls. 

  • Pat Boyer’s hand surgery went well. Medication is controlling her pain. Please pray it heals quickly. Her CT scan of her kidney was clear of any cancer recurrence. Her cousin, Tami Yeakley, will have a long road to recovery with her heart issues. 

  • Stan Kitchell has an infection in his right knee. He is being treated with an antibiotic cream.

  • The Kitchells’ nephew, Scott, has diabetes and had part of his foot amputated. Please pray it heals properly. 

  • Glenda Phillips, a former member of CHBC who’s 98, fell and broke her hip. She had a successful surgery. Please pray for healing. 

  • Belinda Yesslith’s aunt, Alice Mute, is in a nursing home on oxygen. She had been hospitalized with lung problems.

  • Pat Boyer’s cousin, Tami Yeakley, is in the hospital with heart issues. 

  • Pray for Kent Melton’s recovery after having a hip replacement on March 10.

  • Tom Clanton’s sister had an EKG which showed a problem with her heart. Further tests will be done. 

  • Mary Kitchells sister, Jane Rogers, is doing better. She still needs help with mobility and her husband, who is her caregiver, also has mobility issues. Pray for them both.

  • Cathy Burris’ brother, Bob, was released to a 21 day physical rehab facility. He is still in a lot of pain, healing very slowly, but he should make a full recovery and has a positive outlook. He was able to sit up to watch TV.

  • Dan Maddux, Donna Sharp’s friend, will have his other knee replacement surgery later this month. 

  • Pray for Mark and Robin Myers, son and daughter-in-law of former members, Steve and Lisa. Robin is pregnant with identical twins her pregnancy is high-risk due to earlier complications. Pray for a good, full-term pregnancy. Her due date is the end of June.

  • Keno King has started treatment with Keytruda. Please be praying he will tolerate the treatment well and that the Lord would use it to kill all cancer cells.

CHBC Lexington Chapel Service Prayer requests

Daniel Turner—surrendered his life to Jesus on April 7th with the words “I am ready!”.  Daniel has been a subject of many prayers and struggles with many demonic influences including self-harm and suicide, many family members killed by the cartel, as well as homosexuality.  Daniel prayed to His Creator God, and asked for “help loving Jesus” as he begins his walk with Christ.  Pray for protection and encouragement, for a focus on God’s Word and on prayer, and for space for Daniel to begin to walk forward.  And pray for his courage to share what he has done with his 2 surviving family members, including his daughter back home.

Collin—found out on Sunday that his grandmother Jean had passed away the week prior.  It came as a surprise to him.  Pray for peace.

John—continue to lift up John as he seeks good news about his legal situation, asking God to show him favor from those making decisions.

Deshawn—asks for understanding as he was recently saved last week, and is digging into God’s Word, and desires to understand MORE!

Curtis Prock—hoping to be sent to Joseph Harp, out of A&R.

Russell—pray for Russell as God has placed this well-versed believer in a cell with a man who knows little about Jesus, but does now know Him as savior.  Pray for discipleship in this situation.

Darrin Lewis—pray for Darrin to be protected from all sides as he begins his walk with The Lord.

Louis—pray for Louis’ battle with depression, and destructive thoughts.

  • Madi Grogan, daughter of Jeff and Amanda, has had ongoing pain and been seeing doctors hoping for a diagnosis and treatment plan. Pray for healing for her body.

  • Pat Boyer was scheduled Monday for a follow-up CT-scan of her right kidney to be sure the cancer has not returned.

  • Kathy Quillan is still having balance issues for knee replacement and now has serious shoulder pain from using the walker and cane for so long. She is also having trouble sleeping due to muscle spasms and restless legs.

  • Sherrill Sageser had his stimulator programmed and learned he’s using a lot of energy from it. He will need to charge it every two days. The program can be adjusted to help his back pain. 

  • Pray for Tanya Fobasso’s parents health and well being that God would provide exactly what her family needs.

  • Debbie Weir still has a bad cough that prevents her from sleeping well. She also gets hoarse and loses her voice easily. Doctors are still trying to determine the source of her cough.

  • Sam and Charlotte Wittner - The spots on Charlotte’s liver and kidney were cysts that are not concerning. Charlotte’s dementia is progressing. Pray for Sam to have patience in caring for his wife.

  • Members with continuing health concerns: Karen Davis, Jim Davis, Kevin Fox, David Spiva, Cameron Frank, Cathy Burris, Michelle Hawkins’ brother, Mark Manning, Frazier’s nephew and his wife; Greg and Sarah Frazier, Glenda Phillips, Sherrill Sageser, Sam Wittner, Charlotte Wittner, Sharon Daniels, Belinda Yesslith.

Missions and Ministry Requests

  • Pray for our country and elected leaders.

  • Hannah and Ben Hanes are missionaries serving in the Bronx in NYC.

  • Logan & Morgan Hanni & their sons, Liam & Grayson, are serving a 3-year term as IMB missionaries to Southeast Asia. Please pray for their travel, language learning and cultural adjustment. Pray for unreached people groups in Southeast Asia to come to a saving faith in Jesus.

  • De’Vonte’ Pittman is serving on the mission field in North Africa. He will be there at least a year. Pray for him and for the people groups with whom he will be sharing the gospel.

  • Pray the congregation at Northeast Fellowship, that they would grow in their love for God and each other. Pray for their community, specifically for the new people moving to their community that the Lord would use their church to reach them with the gospel and equip them to meet their physical needs. Let everything they do/plan be devotional, and draw them closer to the Lord.

Praises

  • Praise God for all He is doing in our church and community.

  • Shelby Byrd had surgery for hip issues and is recovering well.

  • Katie MacDougall’s lung functioning is up to 78% (80 is normal) after 4 years of abnormal functioning and 1.5 years of really scary functioning. This level of improvement isn’t explainable medically. Please join her in praising God for this healing and continue to pray her infusions/medication management maintains/improves healing.

  •  Rita Mason’s niece, Michelle, had surgery after her spinal cord stroke. She is now walking and has feeling back in her one arm and one leg, which were numb. Please pray for continued healing and that she will have a closer walk with the Lord. 

  • June and Phil Holloway are both recovering at home. June has just a few more physical therapy appointments that she hopes to do outpatient.

CHBC Lexington Chapel Service Prayer requests

Sean—asks for prayer as his wife may be able to leave Mabel Basset soon. Also, Sean himself may get an update on when he will be leaving LARC unit.

Brandon—pray for this man to understand who Jesus truly is, his Savior. Currently he is a confused professing Muslim.

Angel Morales—a new believer who will be leaving prison directly from LARC in the next few weeks and needs to find and begin to attend a church. He has never attended a church before and needs some direction.  Pray for God to show him the way.

Lexington Chapel Salvation Report

Pray for the 11 men listed below who repented and trusted in Jesus on 03/24/2025:  11 men in Unit 8 prayed to surrender their lives to Jesus.  Pray for direction through God’s Word, and for a focus on Prayer to overtake every aspect of the lives of these men.  And pray for them to be filled with the courage to tell others about their newfound HOPE!
