CHBC Prayer List

April 28, 2026

New Prayer Requests

  • Ray Hansen passed away. Please keep his wife Lea, and the rest of their children, grandchildren in your prayers as well as all those connected with Rio Bravo ministries, the school, children's home, and the countless other individuals and churches in the area that have been impacted and will be mourning the loss and celebrating his legacy.

  • Mark and Norma Green’s son-in-law, Zach Boyd, is a tree trimmer and fell about 20-25 ft. while working in Norman. He was knocked out but called his wife, Katie, when he awoke. She took him to the ER there, but they transferred him to the trauma team at Baptist. Zach has a broken sternum, eye socket, two ribs in back, a bruised lung, and bleeding adrenal gland. He’s mentally confused and keeps asking what happened. Please pray for mind clarity, healing for his injuries, and peace for Katie.

  • David Ramsey needs a new job soon. His department is being outsourced, and his job ends May 29. He’s been there 15 years and needs to maintain his tenure rather than starting over lower.

  • Mikel Ladymon enjoyed four days vacationing with her daughter in California. After arriving home, she’s not feeling well and not eating. Please pray that tests show what’s wrong.

  • Sherrill Sageser is not feeling well and not eating or sleeping well.

  • Velta Zoeller’s brother, Gene, had emergency surgery on his colon, which ruptured. He now has a colostomy and is still hospitalized..

  • Lynda Ramsey’s daughter, Lisa, has a torn rotator cuff. She is now looking for a church.

  • Mary Kitchell had some scans recently. She will now have scans every 6 months instead of 3 months because she is stable.

  • Robert Ladymon fell at home. A neighbor came and helped him up. Walking is difficult with his MS.

  • Bob Boyer had some skin biopsies removed from his head. Pray results are negative.

  • David Ramsey has another interview this week for a banking position. His job will end May 29 due to his department being outsourced.

  • Tom Clanton is looking at an alternative option other than surgery for his foot, which still causes problems since a previous surgery. He is also using a special cream on his head for pre-cancerous spots.

Ongoing requests.

  • Pray for Johnny Just’s associate, Don, who has taken the role of 24 hour caregiver for his wife Randi who has had two strokes, a broken hip, and heart issues that have lead to advanced dementia.  Please pray for physical, mental and most importantly spiritual healing and salvation.

  • Norma Green’s brother Ragan, has MS and has developed what appears to be pneumonia. He's being admitted to the hospital and Norma will likely be going to be with him for a few days. Pray for healing and no complications with his MS.

  • Coach Tee Uziogwe suffered a collapsed lung, complicated by pneumonia and blood clots. He has been released from the hospital. Pray for his recovery.

  • Caroline and Melissa Lawson were in a car accident. They were both injured but did not require hospitalization, however they were hurt and their vehicle may have to be replaced.  Pray that the insurance companies will give them enough to either have their automobile properly repaired or replaced since they will not be able to afford adding to the recovery out of their income.

  • Michelle Chambers had back surgery. Pray for her healing.

  • Robert’s friend, Steve, has 3 valves replaced and is doing well.

  • Sagesers’ friend and neighbor, George Gillis, has an inoperable brain tumor. He’s facing radiation and taking a chemo pill to extend his life. He is 87, and his wife, Doris, is 84.  She is in poor health, too.

  • Velta’s granddaughter, Nikki, had all of her teeth extracted due to a bone disease. She won’t be able to get dentures for 8 weeks. She can’t work but has housing and bills to pay for herself and her child. Please pray for provision and her healing.

  • Donna Sharp requests prayers of salvation for her son, Colton, and for her sister.

  • Members with continuing health concerns: Debbie Weir, Kathy Quillin, Madi Grogan, Abigail Gulley, Anna Harkins, Karen Davis, Jim Davis, Kevin Fox, David Spiva, Cameron Frank, Cathy Burris, Sherrill Sageser, Sam Wittner, Charlotte Wittner, Belinda Yesslith, Robert and Mikel Ladymon, Mary Kitchell.

Missions and Ministry Requests

  • Pray for our country and elected leaders.

  • Rachel Lee’s church in Reynosa is launching new "grupos de cuidado" or home groups for the youth. Please pray that the young adults who are leading them will be committed and be able to pour into the younger youth so that as a whole, they grow in wisdom and in their walks with God. Pray for protection for those in Mexico, especially for Rachel Lee and her coworkers.

Praises

  • Praise God for all He is doing in our church and community.
