New Prayer Requests

  • Belinda Yesslith (Adult 4) will have a heart cath procedure on September 4. On September 8, she will have open heart surgery at Integris to remove a mass behind her heart. She also has a progressing lung disease. Please pray for a good outcome for Belinda. 

Ongoing requests

  • Debbie Weir is home now recovering from her blood infection. Pray for her health issues. 

  • Robert Ladymon did not have a further procedure this week for his kidney stone. 

  • Kathy Quillin has ben diagnosed with lymphedema. Pray for her health.

  • Ryder Douglas, the sweet 10 month old son of Bryan and Bethany Douglas, is facing some neurological and muscle tone challenges that are affecting his mobility and making feeding a big struggle. They are currently working with Doctors and specialists to address and diagnose what is going on. Please pray that his little body relaxes, that he begins to gain weight and grow strong, and for peace for their family as they find the best ways to support him.

  • Michelle Hastings has been attending CHBC for a couple of months now. She has cancer, and a lot of pain related to the cancer. Please pray for her cancer and her pain. 

  • Cathy Burris will have radiation treatments for a cancerous spot near her nostrils. Pray they will be successful. 

  • Mikel Ladymon is feeling better. She will have a heart valve e replacement in November. 

  • Karen Davis’s thyroid biopsy was benign. Now she is scheduled for surgery on October 1st for her parathyroid. 

  • Kole Melton (son of Kent and Kim and grandson of Tom and Gail Clanton) and his wife are expecting twin girls. They are due near November but will probably be delivered early in September. Mom will likely be put on bed rest. Pray for a safe delivery. 

  • Pat Boyer’s brother, Don Hanes, has been diagnosed with stage 3 kidney failure. He also has diabetes. 

  • Connie Smith has been removed from the kidney transplant list. Pray for her health. 

  • Matthew Sageser has quit using his crutches and is walking with the boot for the next few weeks. 

  • Debbie Weir’s brother needs a new liver and is on a transplant list. Pray for him to get one and for the family’s salvation. 

  • Wilma Cude’s right arm was broken when a heavy potted plant fell on it. She has had a hard sleeve on it and will get a cast soon. A scheduled surgery was cancelled to remove skin cancer on her left arm. Please pray for comfort and healing for Wilma.

  • Mary Kitchell has bad reactions after chemo treatments for the cancer in her legs. Pray for her comfort and for Stan as he cares for her. 

  • Velta Zoeller’s nephew, Scott, has fluid around his heart. 

  • Ginny Little is home again and had a better week than the former week. Please pray for her Parkinson’s difficulties. 

  • Velta Zoeller returned to her surgeon, who was pleased with her response to her surgery. He thinks she will continue to improve and doesn’t plan to proceed with surgery on the other artery.  

  • Pat Boyer is waiting several weeks to be scheduled for knee replacement surgery. 

  • Donna Sharp’s son, Colton Gill, chose to go live with his father years ago and is not doing well. Please pray for his salvation. 

  • Anna Harkins has had a few breakthrough seizures so her doctors are looking at a surgical procedure to implant a Vagal Nerve Stimulator.  Her labs show what is likely permanent organ damage from DRESS in her kidneys & thyroid. Nothing too scary yet & doctors will keep a close eye. Otherwise her other labs show lots of improvement.

  • Lynda Ramsey’s daughter, Lisa, has a torn rotator cuff. She is now looking for a church. 

  • Pray for Johnny Just’s associate, Don, who has taken the role of 24 hour caregiver for his wife Randi who has had two strokes, a broken hip, and heart issues that have lead to advanced dementia.  Please pray for physical, mental and most importantly spiritual healing and salvation.  

  • Donna Sharp requests prayers of salvation for her son, Colton, and for her sister.

CHBC Prison Ministry Prayer Requests

Please keep the following requests in your prayers this week.

  • Continue to pray for a new opportunity to be opened for CHBC coming alongside Barry Mosely at the Granite correctional facility. 

  • Pray for God’s guidance for how CHBC can best continue to support the Living Hope church inside Allen Gamble Correctional facility.

  • Pray for Sal and Marvin as they continue to resist a constant pressure they are under to convert to Islam and abandon their Christian beliefs.  Pray that they would simply rest in Christ and stand on the hope of the promises of Jesus Christ for salvation. 

  • Pray that ALL THESE MEN would read God’s Word, and “pray always”.

  • Pray for RJ as the Holy Spirit continues to be at work in his heart.  Pray for his cellmate as well, Equarius, who is a Christian, as he continues to witness with, and help RJ understand questions.

  • Michael struggles with the loss of his family that addition cost him.  Pray for peace, and pray for protection for his relationship with his children, ages 10 & 12.

  • Mike and Brandon request prayer for their health and well-being, and that God would move them out into a yard soon, where they can participate in the gathering with other believers.

  • Stephon has been a believer since he was 15 years old.  He is 24 now.  His father passed away when he was 12, and his mother when he was 15, and he lived with different families since then.  Pray for God to grow his understanding, strengthen his belief, and pray for protection from the Islamic influences which are currently bombarding him.

  • Anthony asks for prayer for his upcoming release, and the process of reuniting with his family.

  • Hansen asks for you to join him in a prayer of thanks for his new grandson. He thanks God for his breath through night and day.

  • Brent asks for prayer for his brother Isiah, at the hope center in Bethany.  He asks for prayer for his family, and for God to help lead them while he cannot be there with them.

  • Jose Diaz asks for prayer for all those going to school at all levels of education:  for energy, health, grace, endurance, and mercy.  He is thankful for ministry and discipling efforts that are made available.

Remember to keep the following men in your prayers, as they have surrendered to Jesus with prayers of repentance and surrender during recent A&R cell-to-cell visits.  Pray for direction and protection! TThere have been 230 men who have prayed in 2026 already, and 1316 since Feb 2023.
