June 10, 2025

New Prayer Requests

  • Connie Fiser will have hip replacement surgery on June 16th. Pray for a successful surgery and smooth journey of healing.

  • Kim and Kent Melton’s son, Cole, is now a radiation oncologist. He will be in OKC for a time and then work in Tulsa.

  • Please pray for Anna Harkins.  In May she experienced an unusual “neurological event” and this past week she has had three more.  The next two weeks are full of several visits to specialists at OU and the week of June 16-19 she is being hooked up to an EEG at home. Please pray the Lord is gracious to give them answers, as well as give the doctors she sees insight and wisdom

Ongoing Requests

  • Debra Bacorn is going to manage the kitchen for us. She asks that we pray about what Wednesday night meals might look like in the upcoming year as she begins to plan and prepare.

  • Pray for the children of Brenda Yesslith to be drawn closer to the Lord. They live in Phoenix and Los Angeles.

  • Roger and Megan Godwin, along with their 5 children, lost their home last week in a fire. Pray for their family as they move through this difficult trial. The Families in Motion small group is organizing several ways to serve their family. If you’d like to contribute, please contact info@chbcok.com.

  • Debbie Weir accepted a new job position that is a lateral move without a pay decrease.  She will start in a couple weeks.

  • Velta Zoeller’s brother, James, still has a difficult relationship with his son, Scott. Scott has had many problems during his life. He recently went to the hospital with heart problems and back pain. The doctor prescribed a medication that might help him live another five years. If he doesn’t take it, he won’t. Scott won’t listen to anyone sharing the gospel. Please pray for his salvation and health.

  • Pray for the Weigand’s friends who are workers in North Africa. They lost their home sending church. They have still not been able to connect with a new sending church, as travel and ministry difficulties make it hard to return to the states to build that support system back up. Pray for the Lord to provide answers and support according to His will.

  • Tia Philbin is taking legal action in a very traumatic situation that she experienced in the past. She is asking for strength and peace during the process as well as justice to be served.

  • Paul Christy is serving in the Air Force in Italy. Pray for community and strength for him as he’s away for the next few years.

  • Pray for those in our church family who are looking for employment, that the Lord would provide for their needs and place them in the right position for their gifts, talents, and to be used for His glory.

  • Keaire Wilkins (Sheireka's son) needs prayer for the outcome of his review request.

  • Pray for wisdom for John Daniels as he cares for Sharon.

  • Please pray for Lynda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • Pray for Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 20), that God would intervene and draw him back into a relationship with the Lord and with his family.

Hospitalizations and Illnesses

  • Mary Kitchell’s cancer has metastasized to the bone in her leg. This causes the bone to become brittle, and very susceptible to breaking. She has an appointment with an orthopedic oncologist at the Stephenson Cancer Center on June 20. She is weaker and unstable.

CHBC prison ministry Prayer requests

Please keep the following requests in your prayers this week.

  • Lift up Eric in prayer.  He is an OBU graduate, and the FIRST to be SENT into the field, the mission field.  He arrived at his new prison home to a welcome party by those who were already there.  God is moving, and the remainder of the field ministers are about to be SENT by God.  They will be going forth in the coming 2 weeks.  Pray for God’s hedge of protection around these men, and for them to stay FOCUSED ON GOD and remind them of the provisions that He is already making for them as they start to participate and be present for this NEW WORK that the LORD IS ALREADY DOING!

  • Pray for Dean, Aaron, and Miguel, venturing forth very soon as field ministers, to one of the darkest DOC prisons in the state (Allen Gamble).  Pray for favor with the warden, the DOC officials, the other inmates and the chaplain.  Pray that their souls would be encouraged, and that fruit would immediately be harvested by these men, and all the others, upon their arrival to the places they are being SENT!

  • Pray for peace beyond understanding for all of the men being SENT as field ministers!

  • Pray for Will, that God would continue to work on his understanding, and that he would be saved.

  • Pray for Deshawn, that he would be encouraged, and that his prayers for God to SHOW HIM what he is seeking to understand would be answered!

  • Pray for John Hansen, on death row, who is approaching death quickly.  Pray for his peace in his confession of Jesus, and that God would enlighten him in these last days with truth, beyond his expectations!

  • Pray for Aaron L., a man who God has anointed to be a preacher & minister, as CHBC in partnership with many other individuals from all walks of life, work with him toward ordination.

Remember to keep the following men in your prayers, as they have surrendered to Jesus with prayers of repentance and surrender during A&R cell-to-cell visits.  Pray for direction and protection!
