CHBC Prayer List

March 17, 2026

New Prayer Requests

  • Michelle Chambers had back surgery. Pray for her healing.

  • Brian Boyer will have knee surgery this week. He has a meniscus tear and will need to be off work for a while.

  • Sagesers’ friend and neighbor, George Gillis, has an inoperable brain tumor. He’s facing radiation and taking a chemo pill to extend his life. He is 87, and his wife, Doris, is 84.  She is in poor health, too.

Ongoing requests.

  • Caroline and Melissa Lawson were in a car accident. They were both injured but did not require hospitalization, however they were hurt and their vehicle may have to be replaced.  Pray that the insurance companies will give them enough to either have their automobile properly repaired or replaced since they will not be able to afford adding to the recovery out of their income.

  • Dorinda Vaughn did not require surgery, they are going to watch her and let it heal.

  • Pray for protection for those in Mexico, especially for Rachel Lee and her coworkers.

  • Kyle and Morgan Birdwell are mourning the loss of their 12 day old daughter, Logan Laree. She went to be with the Lord on March 7. Pray for them and their young son Raylan.

  • Debbie Weir is recovering well from knee surgery and had to go back to work this week.

  • The Boyers’ grandson, Grayson Dinh, graduated from the police academy on February 26 and is now patrolling at night. Continue to pray for his safety. His dad came out of retirement to support him.

  • Velta Zoeller’s younger brother, Gene Brantley, has neuropathy in his feet and legs. Because he can’t take care of his feet properly, he had to have a toe amputated because of gangrene.  He is in a nursing home and is on strong antibiotics. He may never be able to go back home because he’s alone. Pray for healing.

  • Lynda Ramsey is recovering well from her knee replacement surgery and was present on Sunday. She thanks everyone for their prayers and food during this time.

  • Steve Fiser has recovered from his hip surgery. He has another surgery this Thursday.

  • Kathy Quillin is having an EEG done due to a concussion.

  • Robert Ladymon fell and had to have help getting up. He has trouble walking and getting out of his chair. His movements are difficult because of his MS.

  • Velta Zoeller’s daughter, Teresa, and her granddaughter, Nikki, are both recovering well from their surgeries. However, Nikki has no income and needs to pay rent and support her son. Pray for provision.

  • Donna Sharp requests prayers of salvation for her son, Colton, and for her sister.

  • Members with continuing health concerns: Debbie Weir, Kathy Quillin, Madi Grogan, Abigail Gulley, Anna Harkins, Karen Davis, Jim Davis, Kevin Fox, David Spiva, Cameron Frank, Cathy Burris, Sherrill Sageser, Sam Wittner, Charlotte Wittner, Belinda Yesslith, Robert and Mikel Ladymon, Mary Kitchell.

Missions and Ministry Requests

  • Pray for our country and elected leaders.

  • Rachel Lee’s church in Reynosa is launching new "grupos de cuidado" or home groups for the youth. Please pray that the young adults who are leading them will be committed and be able to pour into the younger youth so that as a whole, they grow in wisdom and in their walks with God.

Praises

  • Praise God for all He is doing in our church and community.

CHBC Prison Ministry Prayer Requests

Please keep the following requests in your prayers this week.

  • Keep Dean Luebberst and the “Living Hope” church planting efforts in your prayers.

  • Shane Roden asks for prayer as he prepares to leave prison, seeking to move into a Hope Is Alive home.  Pray for his 5 sons and his daughter during this time as well.

  • Marquan asks for prayer for his family, and for he and his cell mate in LARC to be moved out to a yard assignment ASAP.

  • Brent requests prayer that he will make it back home to his family safely.

  • Sean request prayer for his back pain, and that visiting nurses would be able to help diagnose his ailment.

  • Nico requests prayer for his wife Meghan, dealing with the world on her own while he is in prison.

Remember to keep the following men in your prayers, as they have surrendered to Jesus with prayers of repentance and surrender during recent A&R cell-to-cell visits.  Pray for direction and protection! There have been 68 new believers in 2026 already, and 1154 since Feb 2023.  Praise God!  All glory to and for God and His kingdom!
