CHBC Prayer List

March 27, 2023

New Prayer Requests

  • Faye Wooldridge passed away on March 22. Please pray for Clyde during this difficult time. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 31, at Calvary Baptist Church in Wilburton, OK, at 1:00. Please remember Clyde and their family.

  • Rodney Lee's brother, David, had surgery last week to have his kidney removed as a result of kidney cancer. David's oncologist feels like they were able to remove all the cancerous tissue along with the kidney, but they will continue to monitor him every 3 months to make sure it didn't spread to the bladder. They have suggested either radiation or chemotherapy as a precaution and he is weighing those options.

  • Bill Head was hospitalized last week with some health issues, but he is home now. His kidney function is low, and he is sleeping a lot. Please continue to pray for his healing.

  • The Leatherwoods’ son, Cory, broke his foot in several places. Pray for his foot to heal.

  • Danny and Velta Zoeller both have Covid. Pray for an easy recovery.

  • Jimmy Smith has been in the VA Hospital with low oxygen levels and an unstable pulse rate.

Ongoing Requests

  • Pray for the Associate Pastor and Student Pastor search committees as they begin the search for the men God has purposed to fill those positions.

  • Please pray for Linda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression

  • The Just’s nephew, Jason, is in prison. Pray for God’s will.

  • Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 19), is not in contact with family and they are concerned for him.  Please pray for safety, that he has somewhere to stay & is working, & for his future.

  • Pray for Josh and Monica Janacek’s son Joshua to draw near to the Lord and seek Him.

  • The Leatherwoods request prayer for their relationship with their son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Cory.

  • Kent Hibbard (67) passed away in Chickasha. He was a long-time CHBC member who later began Resurrection House in Chickasha to help the homeless find jobs, but mainly to know Jesus.  He was also a pastor there for several years.  Please remember his wife, Julie, and their family at this time.

  • Kathy Parker (80) passed away on March 3. She was a long-time CHBC member who had been living with her daughter in Branson for several months.  There will be a memorial service at CHBC at a later date. Please remember her family.

Hospitalizations and Illnesses

  • Bill & Nancy Diepenbrock’s son, Will Diepenbrock, was given infusions for low platelets and is feeling better. Doctors do not have a cause for his platelets to have been so low. They are hoping it is an immune disorder and not something more serious. He will have frequent blood tests to see if his platelets stay up or if he will need another infusion. Keep praying that the doctors can determine the correct path for Will’s health; strength to overcome any obstacles and that he can be free of all illness.

  • Stan Kitchell’s parents (both in their 90s) are at home on hospice.

  • The Leatherwoods’ daughter, Rachel, had a brain MRI.  She will see a neurologist for a diagnosis.

  • Karen Davis is on IV antibiotics for an infection.  She will get a second opinion on her diagnosis.

  • Cathy Burris has returned home. Continue to pray for her to feel well.

  • Terry Mason is struggling with his recovery from knee replacement surgery.

  • Joe Pellegrin’s 47-year-old nephew passed away after a heart attack. Please pray for his family who lives in Louisiana.

  • Velta Zoeller’s daughter, Teresa, will have a knee replacement. It is scheduled in June, but she needs it sooner.

  • John and Sharon Danielson are not doing well. After several trips to the ER, doctors cannot determine the cause of her stomach pain.

  • Kathy Quillin is needing our prayers for wisdom, direction and health. Kathy has several health issues needing to be covered in prayer. She is specifically asking for the Dr’s wisdom and direction, as well as resolution and healing. Also, Kathy’s current job was eliminated on December 30th, and she is looking for another job that would fit her area of expertise and hours she needs. Please pray God would bring to light any obstacles that might stand in the way of moving forward and that she can find another job quickly.

  • Lori Wilson has been diagnosed with Stage 4 bladder cancer. She has started a new immunotherapy medication. It is an experimental drug but has gone through clinical trials and she will be monitored by a national study group. Please pray for healing, for her future, peace for her kids and mom, and for complete and supernatural healing so that everyone knows God did it.

  • The Just’s granddaughter, Sophia Weihermueller, had successful surgery on February 13 to close the growth plate in her right leg because the left leg has already stopped growing and they don’t want there to be a bigger discrepancy in length. Please continue to pray for her healing.

  • Please pray for Jason Caruthers (26 years old) who was shot in a random drive-by shooting in downtown OKC on January 1st. He has been fighting for his life since then. Jason is the bother of CHBC member Brittany Freeman. She has been his sole caregiver since the incident. Please pray for Brittany, as well. She has missed a lot of work and needs encouragement.

  • Megan Glennie’s mother, Tina Stout, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia several months ago. She had a stem cell transplant on December 21 and will continue to be monitored to ensure that the cells graft as they are supposed to do. She contracted Covid during her hospitalization, but is now home and recovering. Continue to pray for her health and that this treatment works.

  • Shirley Mathews daughter, Paula Koeller, fell from her attic stairs and suffered multiple breaks in her foot. She had surgery to repair the damage. Pray for a complete recovery.

  • Johnny and Carol Just’s son-in-law, Mitch Merideth, had a heart transplant in 2016. He is dealing with liver failure related to his long tern health problems. Continue to pray for guidance, healing, pain relief and grace to deal with his multiple health issues, and that he can gain weight and strength. Pray for Chelsea and the kids too!

  • Katie MacDougall is receiving treatment for a lung condition. Please continue praying for her and her doctors as she adjusts to treatment.

  • Carol and Johnny Just’s granddaughter Marek is being treated for a brain tumor that was diagnosed in 2019. Please continue to pray for endurance for Marek and her family as they listen and trust in God’s leading concerning her care. Her next MRI will be in March. Last week she came down with mono, but is soldiering on. Keep praying the tumor meds keep working and there will be healing all around.
