CHBC Prayer List

November 21, 2022

New Prayer Requests

  • This month is missions month at CHBC. Pray for all the mission opportunities and for the projects in which our church will partner over the coming year. Prayerfully consider how the Lord is calling you to engage in these opportunities.

  • Megan and Caleb Glennie welcomed their son, Stetson James, on November 20 at 12:44am. Stetson is healthy and well. Please pray for Megan, as she had to undergo a c-section and had some surgical complications. Pray for her healing to be complete and swift so she can move on to caring for her sweet newborn and his big brother, JAG. If you would like to bless the Glennies with a meal, please sign-up via Meal Train.

  • Hailee and Cameron Frank welcomed their daughter, Maisie Grace, on November 16. Both Hailee and Maisie are healthy and were discharged from the hospital. Pray for their family as they adjust to three children and for the boys as they welcome their new little sister to the crew.

  • Renee Weber lost her husband last December 8. As she and her sons are coming on this first anniversary of his death, please pray for comfort and peace.

  • Lisa Rhodes is in need of a wheel chair for her Mother, Lucille, if anyone has one they are currently not using. She would like to borrow it for her mother who is unable to walk because of a fracture. If you can help, please call Lisa at 405 227-1906. She would be so appreciative for the help!

Ongoing Requests

  • Marcus Green (former member) recently passed away after a long-time battle with kidney disease. Please pray for his children, Natalie, David, and Michael as they grieve that loss. His family will host a memorial service for Marcus on November 29 at 11:00a.m. at Putnam City Baptist Church.

  • Nadine Jones is expecting twins and is at 23 weeks.  She has been placed on modified bedrest and hopes to prevent labor until at least 32 weeks. Both babies are healthy and doing well. Pray for her, David and Adrienne as they make the adjustments necessary for a healthy and safe pregnancy.

  • Former member, Carol Neal passed away on 11/9/22.  She had moved to Tulsa a few years ago to live near her daughter, Becky Burgess.

  • Sherrill Sageser’s brother, Charles (88) passed away. There will be no services.

  • Please pray for Linda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression

  • Please pray for the Weber family after the loss of Ray Weber.

Hospitalizations and Illnesses

  • Helen Plumtree had surgery on November 16. She is doing ok but very sore. She is now in a rehab center and would appreciate prayers for her recovery.

  • Bill and Jane Pickelsimer’s son in law, Allen Crick, has completed his treatment and is home in Florida. Continue to pray for his recovery.

  • Don Cude had back surgery on last week. Pray for his recovery and healing.

  • Glenda Phillips has moved to a memory care facility near her daughter’s home in Texas.

  • Mary Kitchell’s aunt has moved to a memory care facility; she is thriving.

  • Vickie Squires has received approval from her insurance company for her surgery which is scheduled for November 16. Please pray for her doctors, caretakers and for a successful outcome.

  • Steve Frazier’s nephew, Jerry Taulbee (mid-40’s) had a heart attack.

  • Karen Davis is having some medical issues again. Please pray for her and for Jim.

  • Cathy Burris fell and broke her wrist. She has had surgery and is still hurting and on pain medication and antibiotics. Her balance has been an issue and her doctors found a spinal fluid leak. She feels like it is some better. She saw her neuro-surgeon on Monday. Please pray for healing for her and for peace and comfort John as he cares for her.

  • Eleanor Whitener fell at home, hit her head and broke her pelvis. She had surgery on Monday 10/24 and has gone home.

  • Charlotte Wittner had a hip replacement on Sept. 8. She had surgery again to clean out an infection and the infection is gone. Her rehab insurance has ended so she will be going home. Please pray for continued healing for her.

  • Lori Wilson has been diagnosed with Stage 4 bladder cancer. Her oncologist was encouraged at yesterday’s appt. that her pain level is a bit less. It is a sign that the chemotherapy is doing its job. There is a chance that Lori may not have to have surgery based on genetic testing and the results of two upcoming CT scans (after the first and fourth cycles). This is a tall order as Lori wants the cancer to be gone-never to return and surgery is a good option for that. Please pray for lessening of her pain and wisdom for the medical staff to choose the proper treatment. Lori has moved in with her mom to focus on treatment and provide for her financial needs. Lori has listed her home. Please pray for just the right buyers and for a smooth sale and closing.  Pray for her family as they make this transition.

  • Megan Glennie’s mother, Tina Stout, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia three months ago. The chemo treatment her doctors initially recommended is no longer an option for her and she now needs a stem cell/bone marrow transplant ASAP. Pray for her, for a matching donor and for full healing. Pray also for peace for Megan as she is unable to be with her mom right now since she lives in Tennessee and for Tina as she undergoes tests and waits for the match and transplant.

  • Wiley Pinkston has pancreatic cancer. He is having severe back and abdominal pain and is very weak. Please pray that he will be able to eat, for pain relief, strength and for comfort for Annecia and the whole family.

  • Rodney Lee’s brother, David has kidney cancer. Please pray for successful treatment.

  • Katie MacDougall is receiving treatment for a lung condition. Please continue praying for her and her doctors as she adjusts to treatment.

  • Carol and Johnny Just’s granddaughter Marek is being treated for a brain tumor that was diagnosed in 2019. Please continue to pray for endurance for Marek and her family as they listen and trust in God’s leading concerning her care.

  • The Just’s granddaughter, Sophia Weihermueller, is doing well. She got a new leg brace, pray that it works well for her. Please continue to pray for her healing.

  • Clyde Wooldridge and his wife, Faye are still at Baptist Village however Faye is in the memory care facility and is immobile now. Please pray for Faye, her ongoing health needs and for Clyde during this difficult time.
