New Prayer Requests

  • Pat Boyer will  have the main nerve cut in her right hand due to severe carpal tunnel syndrome. Surgery is scheduled for February 4 at Community Hospital North. Please pray this relieves her pain. 

  • The Boyers were recently helping their neighbor across the street with food. This week police cars and an ambulance were there. She had passed away. She allowed homeless people to live there so the house is a mess. Pray for safety for the situation. 

  • Pray for the families in California who have lost their homes in the fires. Pray for provision and restoration and that the fires will be controlled. 

Ongoing Requests

  • Please be in prayer for Will, the adult son of a man who was in Scott Sanbar’s class in Middle and High School. Will has many serious life challenges, and needs all our prayers desperately, as well as does all the family.

  • Belinda Yesslith lost her daughter earlier this month. This has caused stress to her marriage and her relationships with her other children. Pray for God to be with them in this situation.

  • Pray for the salvation of Scott Sanbar’s son, Tyler, and Tyler’s girlfriend, Kayla.

  • Pray for the Weigand’s friends who are workers in North Africa. They lost their home sending church and need to find a new one but travel and ministry difficulties make it hard to return to the states to build that support system back up. Pray for the Lord to provide answers and support according to His will.

  • Velta Zoeller’s 13-year-old grandson, Griffin, lacks one growth hormone. Another one is very low. Please pray for proper treatment as he enters puberty. 

  • Tia Philbin is taking legal action in a very traumatic situation that she experienced in the past. She is asking for strength and peace during the process as well as justice to be served.

  • Paul Christy is serving in the Air Force in Italy. Pray for community and strength for him as he’s away for the next few years. 

  • Pray for those in our church family who are looking for new jobs.

  • Keaire Wilkins (Sheireka's son) needs prayer.

  • Pray for wisdom for John Daniels as he cares for Sharon.

  • Please pray for Lynda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • Pray for Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 20), that God would intervene and draw him back into a relationship with the Lord and with his family.

  • Pray for the people of Israel and the Middle East. Pray that Christ would be made known, pray for peace in and around Israel, pray for the protection of innocents in the entire area. Continue to pray for those working to spread the Good News in the midst of this crisis.

Hospitalizations and Illnesses

  • Linda Sageser has the flu. Please pray that medication helps soon. 

  • Carlos & Kaylee Trujillo (guests) request prayer for a healthy pregnancy & baby.

  • Bill Diepenbrock has been sick with the flu, which caused some complications with his liver and kidneys. Please pray for Bill’s recovery and for Nancy as she cares for him. Bill’s physical therapist is also recommending further treatment, so pray for his total healing.

  • Pray for Mark and Robin Myers, son and daughter-in-law of former members, Steve and Lisa. Robin is close to 17 weeks pregnant with identical twins and had surgery last week to correct complications associated with twin to twin transfusion syndrome. The surgery went well, but comes with additional possible complications, including the increased risk of preterm delivery. Pray for Robin to heal with no infections, for the twins to remain healthy, and for a full-term pregnancy with no further complications.

  • Lelia Lokey’s roommate, Addy, was involved in an auto vs train accident on 1/21/25. Praise the Lord she survived with no major injuries, mainly bruising and soreness. Pray for her as she recovers from this terrifying experience.

  • Darrell and Robin Smith (Northeast Fellowship sending team) were in a wreck.. Robin has a broken wrist, and had surgery to set the fracture. Their car was totaled, and they are very sore. Please pray for wisdom as they navigate insurance with the car and for a smooth recovery for Robin and Darrell.

  • Keno King had surgery last week to remove one of his kidneys due to renal cell carcinoma. Pray for his continued healing.

  • Please pray for Matt Mahler’s cousin, Stephen, who has been diagnosed with a tumor on his brain stem. He is meeting with multiple neurosurgeons this week to determine next steps. Stephen and his wife, Lindsay, have two kids (anges 11 & 13) and live in DFW.

  • Charlotte Wittner has a liver growth and cystic lesion on her pancreas. Sam has several health issues as well. Pray for their healing.

  • Tom Clanton’s nephew, Mike Wright has cancer in his colon, liver, and brain, and basically everywhere. He is a Christian. He has been in great pain, but God is answering prayers for pain relief.

  • The Boyers’ neighbor, Alan Wick, had open heart surgery on December 26. Pray for his healing. 

  • Tara Sageser had a third episode of imbalance on January 9. Some symptoms are lingering. It could be several months to see a neurologist as a new patient. Please pray for direction. 

  • Please pray for Kathy Quillin as she is healing after a full knee replacement with straightening of her leg. She has been dealing with various areas that are setting her recovery behind. Pray for strength and endurance as she works with her physical therapist.

  • Sherrill Sageser had his stimulator programmed and learned he’s using a lot of energy from it. He will need to charge it every two days. The program can be adjusted to help his back pain. 

  • Pray for Tanya Fobasso’s parents health and well that God would provide exactly what her family needs.

  • Charline DeWitt’s friend had a heart attack and is in the hospital in Arizona. Please pray for her full recovery. Charline and Dennis are also thankful for all the prayers, cards, and encouragement in his ongoing recovery.

  • Debbie Weir’s esophagus is causing her difficulty in eating. Pray she receives correct treatment. She will have some cysts removed from her thyroid soon. Please pray there is no cancer. 

  • Mary Kitchell’s sister in Texas, Jane Rogers, has many health problems and is under palliative care at this time. Please pray for her family. 

  • Nell Head may also have a torn meniscus as well as back pain. Pray for relief. 

  • Shelby Byrd is having hip issues. Pray for healing and provision for him. 

  • Sam Wittner is suffering with arthritis. Charlotte is aware that she is having some issues with dementia.

  • Katie MacDougall is undergoing treatment for her lung disease. Please continue praying this treatment would reduce inflammation, slow disease progression, and reduce the need for more unpleasant treatment options as well as wisdom for her pulmonary teams at Mayo and OU. 

  • Members with continuing health concerns: Karen Davis, Jim Davis, Kevin Fox, David Spiva, Cameron Frank, Cathy Burris, Michelle Hawkins’ brother, Mark Manning, Frazier’s nephew and his wife; Greg and Sarah Frazier, Glenda Phillips, Sherrill Sageser, Sam Wittner, Charlotte Wittner, Sharon Daniels, Belinda Yesslith.

Missions and Ministry Requests

  • Pray for our country and elected leaders.

  • Hannah and Ben Hanes are missionaries serving in the Bronx in NYC.

  • Logan & Morgan Hanni & their sons, Liam & Grayson, are serving a 3-year term as IMB missionaries to Southeast Asia. Please pray for their travel, language learning and cultural adjustment. Pray for unreached people groups in Southeast Asia to come to a saving faith in Jesus.

  • De’Vonte’ Pittman is serving on the mission field in North Africa. He will be there at least a year. Pray for him and for the people groups with whom he will be sharing the gospel.

  • Pray the congregation at Northeast Fellowship, that they would grow in their love for God and each other. Pray for their community, specifically for the new people moving to their community that the Lord would use their church to reach them with the gospel and equip them to meet their physical needs. Let everything they do/plan be devotional, and draw them closer to the Lord.

Praises

  • Praise God for all He is doing in our church and community.

CHBC Lexington Chapel Service Prayer requests

  • Rusty—This man is being released after 13 years in prison, on Jan 31st.  Pray for him as the date approaches, and he rejoins his wife, children, and grandchildren out in the world. 

  • Collin—his mom is having a very difficult time dealing with general day-to-day issues.

  • Shawn Dethridge—he is in Lexington, and his wife is in Mabel Basset, and he requested prayer for both he and his wife, along with his mother out in the world, dealing with the aftermath of their situation. 

  • Kyle Smith—stage 4 cancer in hospital in OKC, with very short-term life expectancy.  Pray for the gospel to be presented clearly and received by Kyle.

  • Levi—pray for him to repent and receive the gift of forgiveness that Jesus is offering him, by faith!

  • Cory—asks for prayer for his brother Shane and for his salvation

  • Scotty Hill—that he would have a place to live by the time he discharges in October.

  • Jason Harned—pray for his sister Debbie dealing with Lupus, and his mother.

  • Jackie Melvin—requests prayer for his daughters, and peace for his family.

  • William Luther—pray for his ex-wife Denise with damage feet, and his daughter Abby with kidney issues.

  • Charles Graver—pray for his family, struggling with all of this, and pray for restoration.

  • Jason Hayes—pray for my children, that the Lord would reveal himself to them:  Kambri, Braxton, Zoraya, and Jaxynn.  That they may know how much Christ loves them and they would surrender their lives to Christ and faithfully follow Jesus.

  • Ronald—Fathier-in-law has dementia, and wife having financial hardship

  • Joseph Watkins—prayer for his family in California.  He has seen his wife and children 3 times in 40 years, and prays for their wellbeing.

  • Timothy Watkins—prayer for his upcoming sentence modification hearing, and for his future wife
