New Prayer Requests

  • Susan and Terry Leatherwood were cleaning out their attic when Susan fell through the ceiling of the attic to the floor. She has a broken right shoulder blade, four broken ribs on her right side, and a broken lumbar vertebrae. She stayed in the hospital last night. X-rays were being taken to see if she needs back surgery. Please pray for her pain and recovery.

  • Terry McNeily is in the hospital due to a leg infection. Pray for healing and less pain.

  • Linda Ramsey is recovering from a double hernia surgery. Pray for a full and complete healing.

  • Robert Manning’s daughter, Shelly Leaf, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. They will see doctors at MD Anderson on February 19 to determine a course of treatment. Pray for Shelly and her doctors.

  • Jane Pickelsimer will have arthroscopic rotator cuff surgery today. Pray for a successful surgery and her comfort as she recovers.

Ongoing Requests

  • Annette Brown’s two-month-old great-granddaughter passed away Saturday night. Please pray for the family following this tragedy.

  • Please continue to pray for Katie MacDougall and her sister, Emily, as they grieve the loss of their mother, Vicki, who passed away on January 21.

  • Kathleen Koehler recently found out that there is water in the motor of her vehicle. Please pray that it will continue to function until the Lord provides another vehicle.

  • John and Cathy Burris are now moved into their new apartment at Baptist Village. They will have an estate sale at their home and then sell their property. Please pray for them as they make this transition.

  • Terry and Susan Leatherwood and their son Daniel continue to visit with one another. Daniel has recently started a good job working with excavating equipment. Pray for continued improvement in family relationships.

  • Pray for Cory Pruitt and Kathy Quinllan as they both seek new jobs. Pray that the Lord would guide them each to the employer and position that will be a blessing to their families and help them to live sent in their work place.

  • Please pray for Lynda Ramsey’s daughter and son’s salvation. That God would give her son, Donald, a message that would bring him to His Word and to Himself. Pray that her daughter would be delivered from depression.

  • The Just’s nephew, Jason, is in prison. Please pray Colossians 1:9-10 over him. He professes Christ and wants to live for Him during incarceration.

  • Pray for Beverly Hite’s grandson, Michael (age 20), that God would intervene and draw him back into a relationship with the Lord and with his family.

  • Pray for the people of Israel and the Middle East. Pray that Christ would be made known, pray for peace in and around Israel, pray for the protection of innocents in the entire area. Continue to pray for those working to spread the Good News in the midst of this crisis.

Hospitalizations and Illnesses

  • One of our GED students has an adult daughter, Felicity, who has a heart valve defect and has been having trouble with blood clots which are threatening to cause the loss of toes. Pray for healing for Felicity and that her doctors would have guidance in her care.

  • Joe Pellegrin’s lung biopsy was benign. However, the surgeon was not able to access the tissue that he wanted. They will do another CT and biopsy in six months as the suspected cancer is slow growing. Please pray for a good outcome.

  • Annecia Pinkston will have her leg cast removed on February 22. Please pray for her mobility.

  • George Larson has throat cancer and a spot has shown up on his pancreas. The doctor reviewed a second scan and held out some hope of a course of treatment but it will probably require the removal of part of the pancreas.  Please pray for the family as George has other tests during the next two weeks including a biopsy.

  • Bob Boyer had a large area of skin removed from on top of his head due to cancer. Pray for complete healing.

  • John Daniels recently had a skin cancer removed from on top of his head. Sharon continues to have periods of confusion with her dementia. Pray for John and Sharon.

  • Danny Zoeller’s leg hematoma are healing and he is doing better. He is scheduled to have back surgery on February 12.

  • Helen Wilkerson is now in rehab at Baptist Village. Her lungs had fluid because she was not being given one of her medications, but she is better now. She’s wearing an immobilizer on her broken leg. Pray for her recovery.

  • Pat Boyer is home and recovering from her lung surgery. Pray for her to continue to gain strength.

  • Rodney's brother, David, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 7th. David was a Christian and his life was beautifully eulogized by a family friend in a lovely celebration of life. Thank you so much for your prayers for our family. 

  • Diana Barr’s dad has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Be in prayer for their family as they seek the best treatments.

  • Don Cude is recovering at home after having some of his small intestine removed during an emergency surgery. Continue to pray for Don’s healing and for Wilma as she cares for him.

  • Dennis & Charline DeWitt have not been in Church since October 2023. Dennis had 2 Disk replaced in his lower back and is still having severe pain in his right hip & severe headaches.  They plan to come back to Church as soon as he is better but for now appreciate prayers for pain relief and complete healing.  They also would like to thank CHBC for being so kind to them when they started attending and they sincerely hope to return again when Dennis is better.  

  • Pray for Don Cude’s neighbor, David, who has prostate cancer. Pray for his treatment and healing.

  • Sherrill Sageser received another 20% increase on his pain pump, but it is not relieving his pain yet. The increases will be made slowly.

  • Karen Davis had another procedure trying to determine how to fight her chronic infection. Please pray doctors can find an effective treatment for her.

  • Tom Clanton’s brother-in-law, Chris, recovered from Covid but still needs a stent put in his aneurysm. This procedure is not yet approved in the US because of the location of his aneurysm. Please pray for his treatment.

  • Kelly Horne had a heart attack and had two stents inserted. He is recovering at home and doing well.

  • Katie MacDougall is undergoing treatment for her lung disease. Please continue praying this treatment would reduce inflammation, slow disease progression, and reduce the need for more unpleasant treatment options as well as wisdom for her pulmonary teams at Mayo and OU. 

  • Carol and Johnny Just’s granddaughter Marek is being treated for a brain tumor that was diagnosed in 2019. They appreciate prayers for the brain tumor to remain stable or shrink.

  • Johnny and Carol Just’s son-in-law, Mitch Merideth, had a heart transplant in 2016. He continues to struggle with health problems related to liver failure caused from many years of taking medications for his heart failure and then heart transplant.  Please pray he can manage the condition and gain some weight.  

  • Members with continuing health concerns: Karen Davis, Jim Davis, Kevin Fox, David Spiva, Cameron Frank, Cathy Burris, Michelle Hawkins’ brother, Mark Manning, Frazier’s nephew and his wife; Greg and Sarah Frazier, Glenda Phillips, Sherrill Sageser, Sam Wittner, Charlotte Wittner, Sharon Daniels, Belinda Yesslith.

Missions and Ministry Requests

  • Pray for our country and elected leaders.

  • Hannah and Ben Hanes are missionaries serving in the Bronx in NYC.

  • Logan & Morgan Hanni & their sons, Liam & Grayson, are serving a 3 year term as IMB missionaries to Southeast Asia. Please pray for their travel, language learning and cultural adjustment. Pray for unreached people groups in Southeast Asia to come to a saving faith in Jesus.

Praises

  • Praise God for all He is doing in our church and community.
