Rio Bravo Missions Lunch
Sunday, May 15th. Learn more about our partnership with Rio Bravo Ministries and how you can get involved. This will be a free lunch, but we will be taking donations to help Rio Bravo Ministries and to support Rachel Lee.
Afghan ESL Training
We have a need for men to get involved with ESL training support for local Afghan refugees. We are looking for help Thursday evenings from 6-7pm. Essentially we are looking for simple social connections for gentlemen who need to practice their English or other help as needed by the instructor. All volunteers will need to go through a simple background check. To get the process started, contact Jason Miller below.

Afghan Refugees
There are 29 families ready to be sponsored:
An immediate need is for apartments to be furnished with everything they would need to move in.
Beds, Sofas, etc. Rice makers, cooking items and many other things
Lightly used to new is preferred on the furniture but we will take what we can get as long as it has not been sitting outside and isn't stained/ripped.
Miller North Africa Trip
The Miller family is leaving on May 26th for their mission trip to North Africa. Pray for safety and fruit as they seek to find out how CHBC can begin ministry in North Africa.

ESL training for Afghan Refugees
Starting this week, there is an opportunity to serve at the Candlewood apartments.
Women’s Beginner
Mondays & Wednesdays from 10:00-11:30am
Help is needed for childcare
Men’s Beginner
Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:00-7:30pm
Male assistance is needed, especially on Thursdays
Homework help for all learners
Mondays & Wednesdays from 4:00 – 5:30pm

What’s coming?
Easter Jam Neighborhood Block Party
Where: Cherokee Hills Park, near Grove and 65th, just north of the church
When: April 16th from 2-5pm
Cost: Completely free!
We will have an age graded easter egg hunt with over 2,000 eggs, a free photo booth, the easter bunny will be hanging out, a bounce house, and crafts.
International Missions
Mission Trip to Reynosa, Mexico is set for June 11-16, 2022
