PASTOR’S NOTE

Hey Church Family,

What a joy it was to worship with you Sunday and close out our Core 4 series—Word, Prayer, Care, and Share. As we talked about Share, my hope was that we would see it as more than simply having the right words to share the Gospel. It means being present where God has placed us; serving, engaging, and caring for the people around us so that we have opportunities to point them to Jesus. Paul says in Philippians 4, “I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I find myself.” That contentment comes from recognizing that Jesus is enough. When we're constantly chasing the next thing or wishing we were somewhere else, it's easy to miss the people and opportunities God has placed in front of us.

Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that God has already prepared good works for us to do. We simply need to be present, serve faithfully, and be ready to share the Gospel when God opens the door. This message is especially personal for Stephany and me as we step into our next season. For almost 16 years, we have had the privilege of serving alongside our CHBC family. You have loved us, prayed for us, invested in us, and helped prepare us for what God is calling us to now.

As God continues to open doors through 6 Degrees Ministries, we would love for you to pray for us and consider being part of this next season with us. Whether through prayer, encouragement, or financial partnership, we are grateful for those who feel led to come alongside us as we serve pastors and church planters in New York City. You can learn more about what God is doing and ways to partner with us at 6degrees.world.

Wherever God has placed you this week: be present, serve well, and be ready to share Jesus.

We love you, church family!

Brian & Stephany Meister

Special Offering for Nepal

The total offering given last Sunday for Nepal was $2,790.02 and has been submitted via Send Relief. Our gift helps partner churches in Nepal provide: food for families who lost everything in the water, first aid supplies where clinics and roads are cut off, temporary shelter for families with no home to return to, and sustained help as needs are assessed and the response continues. If you feel led to continue to give or would like to learn more about Send Relief, please visit this link.

Families in Nepal are still waiting for answers. Pray with us:

  • For those grieving the loss of loved ones, homes, and livelihoods

  • For those still waiting, still searching, and those still working in dangerous conditions

  • For churches and believers in Nepal serving their neighbors - that they would bring real comfort and share the hope of Jesus!
