Launch Day | August 21st
Who is your community?
This Sunday, August 21st will be a big day for us at CHBC! As we look at our small groups and how they continue growing, we are expanding and multiplying in order to keep groups feeling like a family. In addition to launching some exciting new groups, we want to make sure that we are giving our church family the best opportunity to stay in meaningful community together. We’ll see you on Sunday to meet some new people and make some new friends!
Potluck Lunch | August 21st
Right after service this Sunday, August 21st, we’re doing having a good ole fashioned all-church potluck lunch right after service! We’ll supply the meat and beverages (Raising Canes chicken) you just bring the sides and desserts.
You can drop off your side or dessert to the Fellowship Hall anytime before Small Groups or Worship Service.
Let’s get together and have a big family meal!
Before the Wrath | September 11th
Sunday, September 11, 6:00 pm, the Sunday Night Prophecy Class will be sponsoring a church wide showing in the Worship Center of “Before the Wrath.”
Here’s a note about the film:

Whiz Kids Tutors Needed!
You can help! Did you know that Whiz Kids students show improvement in reading test scores, build a higher self-esteem and self-confidence, and build a personal relationship with God? This is a powerful ministry to our community! There are three awesome ways you can help: full-time tutor, substitute tutor, or food team.
We will have a training on September 7th and then Whiz Kids will start on September 14th.
Afghan Refugee Update
CHBC has been filling in to meet needs in incredible ways! We still have a few needs.
We have a family of 8 (2 adults and 6 children) who have signed a lease for a new apartment, here are some areas to help:
We need help getting them stocked up with groceries. As you might imagine, they have specific dietary preferences and needs, so if you would like to contribute toward their groceries, you may give online here and choose “World Mission” as the fund.
In addition to these physical needs, we need people who want to pour into this family and others just like this on different levels.
