Promotion Sunday
School is starting soon and we’re excited for our children and students entering new stages! Our small group Promotion Sunday is August 14th, so on that day, your child may go to a separate place for small groups. If you have any questions about where your child or children will be, contact any one of our family ministry team (Hailee, Caleb, or Keno) and they’ll be able to let you know.
Synergy | August 14th • 4pm
We are gearing up for another fall semester and are looking forward to launching new Small Groups as a part of our exciting Launch Day on August 21st. But first, we have a Synergy Small Group Training on Sunday, August 14th.
This is an opportunity for all of our leaders (or aspiring leaders) to learn about our Small Group and discipleship strategy going forward, as well as an opportunity to have a voice in our discipleship plans.
There will be food and childcare provided, as well as teaching from Doug Matlock, the Discipleship and Small Groups Ministry Partner for Oklahoma Baptists.

Launch Week | August 17-21st
Who is your community?
August 21st will be a big day for us at CHBC! As we look at our small groups and how they continue growing, we are expanding and multiplying in order to keep groups feeling like a family. In addition to launching some exciting new groups, we want to make sure that we are giving our church family the best opportunity to stay in meaningful community together. Get ready to join us August 21st to meet some new people and make some new friends!
As we settle back into the “normal” fall routines, this is also a great opportunity to invite friends, family, and co-workers to come back to church if they’ve been out of the habit.
Back to School Bash | August 17th
Our family ministry team is hosting a fall kickoff for the whole family including a meal, activities for all ages, and a special worship service featuring Caleb and Jeremy Freeman.
Our special Back to School Service featuring Caleb & Jeremy Freeman isn’t just for students… it’s for everyone! If you’ve never heard their story, this is a great opportunity to be encouraged by the way that God works out miracles for His glory!
Come hang out, bring the family, and grab a free dinner from 5:30-7:30 on Wednesday, August 17th.
Potluck Lunch | August 21st
Right after launch week on August 21st, we’re doing having a good ole fashioned all-church potluck lunch right after service! We’ll supply the meat and beverages (Raising Canes chicken) you just bring the sides and desserts.
Let’s get together and have a big family meal!
*Urgent Need: Afghan Refugee Update
CHBC has been filling in to meet needs in incredible ways! We still have a few needs.
We have a family of 8 (2 adults and 6 children) who have signed a lease for a new apartment, here are some areas to help:
Jason is going to begin moving items into the apartment on Tuesday Morning. Contact him if you’re interested in helping!
We would like a group of ladies to come help clean the apartment before they move in on Tuesday.
Jason is looking into transportation options for the family, if you would like to help, contact our missions team.
Their apartment needs must be fulfilled before the state will let them move in.
In addition to these physical needs, we need people who want to pour into this family and others just like this on different levels.
