Wednesdays at CHBC

Join us for Midweek at CHBC!

  • Start with a family dinner in our Fellowship Hall. Cost is $5 each, with a $15 family max.

  • Next Wednesday we are having: Chicken Alfredo, green beans, bread, and dessert.

  • Equip classes will start at 6pm, as well as preschool, kids, preteen, and student ministry activities. See equip classes below.

We have two Wednesday night Equip Classes ongoing this fall:

  • Women’s Bible Study: Breathe: Making Room for Sabbath.

  • Faith Essentials: What we believe, why we believe it, and what we should do about it.

    • Led by Cameron Frank and Joe Pellegrin

D-Groups Are Back

All of our D-Groups are officially back in action this week.

D-Groups are gender-specific groups of 2-6 people who meet weekly for transparency, authenticity, and meaningful relationships.

New Sunday Night Bible Study | September 10

Our Sunday Night Bible Study will tackle some of the hardest to understand topics throughout Scripture and will seek to answer as many questions as possible along the way, while discussing what it means for us today, and how it points to Jesus.

Meets at 6:00pm each Sunday night in the Student Center starting on September 10.

Tuesday Morning Women’s Bible Study | September 12

In this 10-session Bible study on the letters of 1, 2, and 3, John, Jen Wilkin helps you see how two thousand years later, his words call to Christians in similar challenges to recall a great salvation and to abide in the truth.

The cost to purchase the book through the church is $25. When you sign up, you can purchase a book, provide your own copy of the book or request a scholarship.

The first of ten session starts Tuesday, September 12 at 9:30 am in Fellowship Hall.

Whiz Kids Volunteers Needed

Whiz Kids is a faith-based, volunteer tutoring and mentoring program. Cherokee Hills has partnered with Tulakes Elementary for fourteen years to teach kids Bible truths and help them with reading and homework.

Whiz Kids meets on Wednesdays from 3-5 pm during the school year. We will be starting the new school year in September. We need tutors, substitute tutors, and cooks.

Our Whiz Kids training will be September 6th, and Whiz Kids will begin on September 13th.

Senior Adult Route 66 Tour | Sept. 22

Our next Senior Adult event is a Route 66 Tour on Friday, Sept 22.

We will leave the church parking lot at 11:30 and take Route 66 to Chandler, where we will visit Route 66 Interpretive Center and the Lincoln County Museum of Pioneer History.

Then we will take Route 66 back to Wellston for a cookout.

Cost is $10.

NE Fellowship Info Meeting | October 1st

CHBC has an exciting new opportunity to plant a new church for the first time in our 60 year history.
