We will have our monthly family business meeting this Sunday, at 5:30pm in the worship center to discuss new members, our budget, and an update from Pastor Chris.

WHIZ KIDS TRAINING | SEPT 3RD

It’s almost time for Whiz Kids to start back!

Whiz Kids is a unique faith-based, one-on-one volunteer tutoring and mentoring program that partners CHBC with students from Tulakes Elementary on Wednesday afternoons. This program allows us to help kids succeed in school, learn about Jesus & minister to their families. REEL & RELOAD - MEN’S EVENT | SEPT 20TH

Bring your fishing rods and shotguns for our Reel and Reload - Men’s Ministry outdoor fellowship. It will be held on Saturday, September 20th from 11-5 at Acacia Farms. We will have clay pigeon shooting, fishing, as well as outdoor games and places to sit and relax. Lunch will be provided. Cost will be $10 per person. Sign up here »

MIssions Golf Fundraiser | October 10th

Our church can’t reach the whole world directly, but through our World Mission Fund, we can empower pastors and organizations around the globe to share the gospel where God has called them. The WMG Classic is our first annual missions golf tournament—an opportunity for everyone in our church to rally together and raise an incredible offering for world missions.

  • Time: Shotgun start at 8:00 AM

  • Location: Lake Hefner Golf Club

  • Purpose: Fundraise for our World Mission Fund to support global gospel work

    • Make a donation

    • Attend to cheer players

    • Support the event through your small group

RIO BRAVO FAMILY MISSION TRIP

We’re putting together a team to serve at Rio Bravo Children’s Home in Mexico this December! This trip is open to individuals and families of all ages and is a great opportunity to support our ministry partner Rachel, help wrap Christmas presents, and complete various projects around the home.

  • WHEN: December 17th-21st

  • COST: $150 per person

  • TEAM MEETINGS: September 7th and November 2nd

  • REGISTRATION DEADLINE: November 2nd

  • FINAL PAYMENT DUE: December 7th

GO DEEPER AT CHBC

Wednesday Night Meals

Starting August 27th, bring your family before MDWK activities start for a $5 per person meal ($20 max per family) served from 5-6pm.

We are in need of people to help serve on Wednesdays in the kitchen. This can look like helping to prep the meal, working the serving line or helping to clean up afterwards. If you’re interested in helping once a month or more, please contact Debra Bacorn at da.bacorn@gmail.com.

MDWK at CHBC, every Wednesday starting August 27th

  • Start with a family dinner in our Fellowship Hall from 5-6pm. Cost is $5 each, with a $20 family max.

  • Equip classes will start at 6:15pm, and the doors will open at 6pm for preschool, kids, preteen, and student ministry activities. See equip classes below.

Wednesday Night Equip Classes

Our Wednesday classes will begin on August 27th at 6pm after our weekly meals resume at 5pm.

  • Faith Essentials 1: What we believe, why we believe it, and what we should do about it.

    • Led by Cameron Frank and Amanda Grogan

  • Making Disciples: A hands-on class to learn about what it means to be a disciple and make disciples, including opportunities to engage in evangelism and outreach.

    • Led by Chris Gulley and Coach T

D-Groups

Wednesday nights are also a great opportunity to meet with your D-group. If you don’t have a D-Group and would like to learn more, SIGN UP for more information.
